Happy Halloween everybody! Today is going to be another fact entry day, so I will write some interesting Friday the 13th facts and when Friday the 13th will land, based on calendar arrangement. If you read the calendar facts entry, then you'll understand by what I mean on "Calendar Arrangements". I know Halloween is one holiday, but Friday the 13th is a similar event. Speaking of that, today is also a Friday, and it's a spooky day.
Calendar Arrangement #1:
For refreshment of memory, Calendar Arrangement #1 is when the first of January is a Sunday. Calendar Arrangement #14 (a leap year arrangement) is quite similar to Calendar Arrangement #1, but Calendar Arrangement #8 (another leap year arrangement) also has New Year's Day on Sunday.
If Friday the 13th is in January, it is a recipe for disaster. Either there's three Friday the 13ths, all being 13 weeks apart, or there's a Friday the 13th in October (the month of Halloween). If it's a leap year, then there are three Friday the 13ths. If not, then October gets one.
Calendar Arrangement #2:
Good Friday has a possibility of being Friday the 13th, but only if Easter is on the 15th. If it's on the Sunday after April Fools or later in this arrangement, then Good Friday will be on the week before, the week after, or on the same day as Friday the 13th. That doesn't make it a "Good Friday" after all.
Calendar Arrangement #3:
The two months Friday the 13th will occur in are the months of terrible things. One of them is the month of 9/11, and the other is the month of Pearl Harbor's dreaded anniversary. Friday the 13th is two days after 9/11 and 6 days after Pearl Harbor in two different months.
Calendar Arrangement #4:
Friday the 13th is one week after the sixth day of the sixth month on the sixth day of the week, which spells 6-6-6. In addition, it also means that it's on the same day of the week as Halloween. 2014 is a good example of what follows this arrangement.
Calendar Arrangement #5:
There are three Friday the 13ths opposed to one or two. And all of them have a major holiday in them. One of the three is on the day before Valentine's day (which is also my birthday), one is four days before St Patrick's Day, and the other is 13 days apart from Thanksgivings Day. And even if February 13th gets skipped from being a Friday, the two Friday the 13ths of the year will be in the same months we mess with the clock (Daylight Savings). In fact, Daylight Savings time will be adjusted at the earliest time possible in the year.
Calendar Arrangement #6:
There is only one Friday the 13th, so that's good news. The bad news - Friday the 13th lands in the month I call "the worst month", which is August. August is the worst month primarily due to the lack of holidays, the heat and humidity, and school starting in the US. Not to mention, but Friday the 13th is only making this month worse. 2010 was the last year Friday the 13th was in August, and 2021 will be the next.
Calendar Arrangement #7:
There is only one Friday the 13th in this month, and it's not that bad of a month for it whatsoever. Unfortunately, if there's a Friday the 13th in May, then there is a Friday the 13th in January next year, which you know meant something bad based on the information I had earlier.
That's all I am writing on my blog for this month, but that's only because it's the last day of the month (from where I live).
