Fruit Tree will not release fruit

I have one apple tree on my island that will will not release its fruit, no matter how often I shake the tree. Anyone else have this problem?

I've never seen this. Maybe try chopping it down and see what happens?

The fruit would still fall. It would just disappear once it fell on the weeds.

Sounds like a bug. I second what PP said, try chopping it down and replanting. :/ Sorry.

I had one coconut tree yesterday near a cliff. I shook it and one coconut fell and disappeared into the ground. I think it is a bug. Try moving your tree to another location.

Can you post a screenshot? It sounds to me like there are no suitable drop locations near the tree, so the game is not releasing them. But a screenshot of the tree would be helpful.

If you have poor internet, try disconnecting from the internet and see if it fixes it. It might be lag.

Yeah, this is what I was trying to say as well. It does disappear on weeds but I'm wondering if there is something blocking the fruit on all sides so the tree just isn't allowing it to fall.
