I have a gamecube controller that plugs into a wiimote to work [example here] and I want to be able to use it with my switch, which only has usb ports. I found this converter [link] which seems to be perfect, but the description says it allows you to use it with your PC, which worries me because I wonder if the nintendo switch will still recognize my gamecube controller as a nintendo controller if I use this converter. Do you guys know if this could work, or what else I could do? Thank you!

Additional question: Does this Legend of Zelda BOTW controller work with PC? [link]

In a future Switch update, there will be the possibility to use the Gamecube controller adapter that was released for Wii U. You need to connect the original controllers, though.

Sorry, not sure if I'm following! I remember seeing something about the Wii U gamecube controller adapter for original gamecube controllers coming to the switch in an update, but this isn't an original gamecube controller. It was released just a few years ago and plugs in through a wiimote to connect to the Wii U.

Probably better off using the GameCube for Wii U on your Switch since they allowed use of them in a previous update. Other than your adapter you listed, I didn't even know of a PC adapter for Classic Controllers since hardly anyone wants to use them for anything since they don't have any sort of rumble features.

Thanks for your advice, but I'm really determined to get this controller to work, it's my favorite version of the gamecube controller because of it's additional buttons.
