Of course, finding the right book was never easy, as Librarian Madam Pince was never helpful, and all the interesting books pertaining to the Dark Arts had been removed to Dumbledore's office. A descendent of the pure-blood lineage Longbottom, Neville proved himself equally instrumental to the defeat of You-Know-Who. Although his early school years were average, almost bumbling, he did show an immediate talent for herbology (Mossy-garden wall, mum cushion, cherry-blossom bonsai).

"There are all kinds of courage," said Dumbledore, smiling. "It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends. I therefore award ten points to Mr. Neville Longbottom." (reliable garden gnome).
