GameXplain Video on Terraforming Limits!

Sorry for the new thread, but GameXplain just uploaded a video testing the limits on Terraforming. Might have useful information for the designers of the forums!

I was always surprised when reviewers said they did not look into terraforming limits; it would of been one of the top concerns on my list o:

Yeah, if you munch on fruit you can dig the whole tree up. Same with rocks, but they go boom instead.

Do you know if rocks randomly reappear if you destroy them, or will they never come back, even at other places on your island?

i thinkthe gamexplain faq mentioned that the small rocks respawn 1 a day

The rock becomes an item you can pick up and relocate I believe. If not something that is regenerated daily.

Yes! It's too bad. I have never been into collecting gyroids but now that we can put furniture outside, I was very excited to put them in my forests! Hopefully they will be added later on, but if not, I will survive!

Its not that announced there is no gyriods in the game for sure but they have a strong suspicion that they are not in game

the little moat around the house he showed in the very beginning of the video already had me excited

He said we can't waterscape on the beach. Makes sense. But it sounds like reasons for me to not put my house on the beach. I want a moat!

He also said no houses on the beach, or did I her wrong? Probably a tent is fine but a house isn't.

I didn't hear that, but maybe I missed it. I know I've seen player tents on the beach in various videos though. It would be weird if you're forced to move your tent just to upgrade it into a house.

He did say that you can't land or waterscape on the beach. He also said you can't put paths on the beach. You CAN put furniture on the beach though.

Unfortunately he did say that you can’t place houses on the beach due to their size. I agree that this is unexpected after seeing the tents there just fine. For anyone wanting to spend extra money to relocate their house, that’s important to know going into the game.

Definitely disappointing, since I already had two ideas relying on that option. Oh well ;ェ;
