Hey guys! Since getting a Switch for Christmas I've been searching for ways to earn Nintendo eShop cards online, and I just wanted to share my success story with you after getting one.
Lootboy is basically an app for a weekly released comic, but really it's just an excuse to bring lootboxes to mobile. As any mobile game, it'll also accept your labor in other mobile games as payment though, which is what I'm referring to in the title. It's gambling, but you can also just use your freetime to get a nice gift card.

Basically, you download apps and earn diamonds from reaching certain achievements in the game (like reaching level 3 or whatever), then you can trade those diamonds for a Nintendo lootpack and if you're lucky you get a gift card. If you're poor you probably know about these kind of apps. You play something for 50 or 300 points, and when you finally reach 15000 points you can get a 5 bucks gift card of your choosing. But with this one you earn 100 points with the same offers, and can trade them for a Steam/Xbox/PlayStation/Nintendo etc lootpack. Most of the time you'll get a key for a Steam game. If you're lucky enough, you'll get a gift card for the specific console. I've never tried to console ones before, but I've been earning my way up to one and today, with my second Nintendo lootpack, I've actually gotten a ?15 Nintendo eShop card!
I kinda derped on taking the picture, it wouldn't let me screenshot it and I went too far before realizing phones exist. ^^
Here's a screenshot of the Nintendo website saying I tried using an used code though in german:
I'm sorry my screenshot isn't in english, but the app should be available in any country that has gift cards as well. ^^
Here's a thread on Steamgifts about the app, probably used by US users at the very least.
Alternatively: I'd also recommend getting Google Opinion Rewards. It's an app that sends you super short surveys (usually 4 questions) and pays you in Google Playstore credit. You can use it to buy any app or anything inside an app, Lootboy also sells its packs for 0,99. There's no difference between buying a pack and earning it, but I only recommend doing it if you don't have anything else to spend it on.
But yeah, that's about it. I just wanted to share the app in case there's someone poor or young looking for a way to use their freetime to get something for their Switch (or DS). It might help saving up for that upcoming Animal Crossing Switch game as well.
