There are so many absolutely talented artists on this site, and the goal of this giveaway is to show them some support while giving someone the opportunity to commission their own piece when they may otherwise be unable to.

Prize

This giveaway will have three winners.

The first two names drawn are to win:

  1. A custom signature done by @Teddy345! You can find his work here.
  2. The amount of $15 USD to go towards any commission from any artist on The Bell Tree Forums! I will PM the winners individually and ask which artist they would like to commission. After speaking with the artists and completing payment, I'll hand over the rest to the winners to contact the artists via PM to continue with the rest of the commission process.
    • The winners may choose to commission a piece worth more than $15 USD, but are responsible for the remaining amount. In this case, the artist will be contacted first, asked if they are willing to take on such a commission, and then the winner will need to send the outstanding amount before the $15 USD is sent to complete payment.
    • A winner may give their prize to another user on the forums, if they so choose.
    • The payment will not be sent directly to the winners, thank you for understanding.
The third name drawn is to win:
  1. A custom signature done by @Teddy345! You can find his work here.
  2. A custom drawing done by @Jint! You can find examples of their work here.

ACNH is my first AC game so my most wholesome experience happened quite recently! I was on the ACNH discord and somebody announced that they were having an in-game wedding on the day of their actual planned wedding, which got pushed back due to coronavirus situation and was looking for wedding items to complete the scene. I had a white ring box that I bought at Nook's which opened when you interacted with it and I thought it would be perfect for their wedding so I donated it to them! I received an invite to their little in-game wedding along with 6 other people that helped with their wedding item quest and it was super cute and wholesome! Its situations like these that make me glad animal crossing was released during this time to give us the freedom to do what we want in game that we otherwise couldn't in real life.

Thanks for reading! ^^

This is so awesome of you to do!!!! All these artists here on tbt are amazing, I so wish I could support them by commissioning with rlc but I'm currently without a job due to the pandemic, so my spending lately has been necessities only. ;v; This is so generous and I appreciate the opportunity!! <333

I've played AC Wild World, City Folk, New Leaf, and now New Horizons! Wild World and City Folk were definitely fun, but I didn't have many friends who played or knew about AC back then, so I usually just played with my sister. My best and favorite memories started when New Leaf came out. I met a lot of people through another 3DS application called Colors3D and ended up adding them to my friends list and played ACNL with them! It was so much fun, we would play for hours and I remember my favorite part was reading all the silly messages we would leave on each other's bulletin boards. xD
A lot of those Colors3D/ACNL friends I'm still in contact with actually, we have our own discord server and sometimes even video call. I'm still waiting for them to get switches so we can play New Horizons together. >:c Lol.
Edit: Also wanted to put in another more specific memory! Even though the first example brings me a lot of happiness and nostalgia to think about, it's hard to pinpoint a specific memory from the New Leaf era since I played pretty much all day everyday LOL!
Another memory that makes me laugh every time I think about it, is when my sister and I played City Folk we would BEG our dad to let us stay up later on Saturdays for K.K. Slider ;v; He would always give in, but we could tell he was annoyed lol. He still mentions it to this day, he'll ask "Is K.K. Slider on your island today?" LOL

Thanks again for the giveaway and good luck everyone! ^-^

Oh my goodness, yes! I’ve also seen a few ACNH weddings covered by the news, I think it’s so precious. That’s so cool you got to be there, such a pure way to have fun on a special day T^T

City folk was my first AC as well! My nieces thought I was such a cool aunt when I finished my loans and impressed them with all of the furniture I’d collect 😂 Now my moms bought them their own switch and ACNH so we can all play. My brother (their father) is now known to ask for ten more minutes when fishing, lol! It’s just such a wholesome game, I love that you shared it with your sister <3

AWWW and the social distancing pic had me rolling xD THIS IS SO PRECIOUS, I’m so glad you’ve got a close friend to visit! My bestie is @lizzziebethie and we actually call each other sista/sista shake/sistawis. We met on another platform and now play together from time to time on AC! Your little photo shoot is adorable, ah, you guys could make one of the photos into a pattern and put it on a pillow or something! I think the cork bird can be customized with a photo? Anyhow, thank you for sharing cx

hi! if I'm not the winner I'd like to expand the options for art commissions by adding 10$ USD to the prize pool ^o^ the artists here are super talented and the best <3
edit: i can either send the money to @DewDrops or directly to the artist, whichever would be easier.
double edit: withdrawing my entry since I want to give everyone who might not be able to afford the commission a better chance at winning!

aieee I think it was the first time I visited someone's town for a trade, I was sooo nervous! I've since become friends with that person (how we met was complicated, they're in one of my friend's FFXIV guild and a few of us took over part of the server for our d&d game nights, haha) but since then I've been able to step out of my comfort zone and even signed up for an account on this site haha. everyone on here has been super nice to work with <3

(GASP I used to be obsessed with the mobile game, FFXV, made a few friends from there)

Visiting people is always fun, getting to see what they’ve got started or which villagers reside in their town. I always wonder if towns could be used well for RP, what with the text limit...

hello! i don’t necessarily want to join but i wanted to ask if you’d accept venmo(my paypal is acting up :( ) to add into the prize pool 0:? ☺ i’d like to donate an extra 5$!! ❤

Thank you so much for hosting this giveaway, I love seeing artist get support, especially all the talented ones of this forum! <3

Anyways, one of the best memories I have in Animal Crossing actually occurred over a decade ago, when I was playing City Folk on the Wii! (I was around 10 years old at the time, I believe.) Anyways, one of the my favorite memories from this game was encountering Serena at the Town Fountain! My brother told me a rumor about throwing your axe into the fountain giving you something good in return, and being 10 years old, I bought it instantly. Fortunately for me, my brother wasn't lying as throwing the axe into the well spawned Serena! Needless to say, I was pretty surprised, as I just expected to like get some free bells or something, lol. I remember her asking what kinda axe I threw in there, and (one again being a kid) I just answered truefully instead of lying about throwing in a gold/silver axe! Luckily that was what I was suppose to do, as I was rewarded with a gold axe!! (I later learned it was also based upon your luck stat, so I was super lucky lol). I was so hyped, as I was always annoyed with my axe breaking (which is ironic, given that everything breaks now) so I was so happy to get such as rare item out of nowhere, thanks to a random tip from my brother. While it isn't the most exciting thing ever, it makes me smile looking back upon how even the smallest things could make me happy back then...

Well anyways, thanks for the giveaway once again, and for taking me back on a trip down memory lane! c:

The nostalgia is so real from this post, ahaha, I love it so much. I heard the same tip, but I don't think I ever met Serena, you were quite the lucky one! I definitely agree, it's so funny thinking back to what little things made the game so incredibly exciting, if not enchanting. Thank you for sharing this memory with us T^T

This is so sweet of you!! Thank you, and thank you to everyone else who's donated to the giveaway, you're all angels.
This year, I passed my birthday in quarantine. After seeing people here hosting parties in-game for their loved ones, I mentioned to my bf that I wanted a small ACNH party instead of the karaoke party I had planned before, which he knew I'd been super excited about. That one's still on hold. Now the thing is he expressly hates organizing things (I'm the go-to planner for both our friend groups), so I wasn't expecting much at that point.

Fastforward to the actual day. We're in a call, midnight hits, he invites me over to his island. I didn't realize how much being locked down was affecting me until I started crying during the "candle blowing". And I mean crying uncontrollably. He ended up tting for irl days for every birthday item in existence to decorate a part of his island for me! Even tt'd to his own birthday to find me cupcakes. Everything was far beyond what I expected and I'm super grateful for having such a loving boyfriend <3

aaaahhh this is such a lovely giveaway, reading these replies is so heartwarming lskdjfgd 😭 🙏💕
not here to enter but would love to donate a draw to the winner!! Here's some links to my galleries/socials for reference - [deviantart] [twitter]

Not exactly a super fond memory but!! I'd like to share anyways;;
ACNH is actually the first AC game I caught on launch (I usually only have access to the game 1-2 years after the release) and it's reconnected me with many, many friends that I haven't talked to in ages; as well as providing something that I can spend time with new friends that I've met, whether be it online, or offline :")
I find it kind of unexpected since;; I usually play the game alone but these days I've been hopping to friends' islands a lot, helping them out (& sometimes being helped in return) and overall it's just been a really nice experience... aaahh I'm not good with words (sweats) but yea!! Thank you AC💕

AHHH THIS IS TOO ADORABLE, what a keeper 😭 Happy late birthday friend, this one’s just gonna be that much more memorable ❤️

Oh my, this giveaway is way too generous! This community really is the best I've seen out there ;-;

As for my personal experience with Animal Crossing, the one I remember most fondly was during a New Years party at my house. At the time, I was super obsessed with Animal Crossing (And still am!) and my best friend as was well. One year, at a news years party at my parents house, I found out several hours before that the game has a giant countdown timer for when the near year hits. So instead of the Big Apple Drop, I convinced my parents to allow me and my friend to watch the timer count town in Animal Crossing. The two of us talked for hours while the grown-ups at the party mostly left us be, but they too also gathered around the TV with Animal Crossing on and watched as the new year came though and then seeing the fireworks in game! It was truly magical to kid me, even if it was just a game, it really changed my life.

Thank you so much for hosting this giveaway.
Animal Crossing has been many things for me over the years, dating back to the Nintendo Gamecube’s Animal Crossing Wild World on November 23rd, 2005. Although, to really express why this particular release impacted me, I have to take a step back and look at the months leading up to the release. Back then, I was a kid—9 years of age, to be exact, and I had been asking my Mom for a Nintendo Gamecube for my birthday, November 25th. I distinctly remember my Mom telling me that she wouldn’t get me the gamecube, and like any child, I was disappointed, teary eyed, but I didn’t dwell on it too long, for I knew Mom had always given me gifts that I always ended up adoring anyway. Months passed, and before I knew it, it was my birthday—November 25th. My Mom had thrown me an incredible party, invited my friends, and I had such a wondrous day. As the day became evening, and the sun waned, I had bid farewell to my friends and it was time to head home. Exhausted, I got out of the car, lazily dragged myself to the front door, and when Mom opened the door, she looked to me with a soft smile and said “Mel, why don’t you have a look in the living room?” I didn’t think too much of it—I was too tired to really give it much thought, so I hobbled over to the living room. It didn’t take me long to catch a glimpse of what was connected to the TV. It was a Gamecube. A Nintendo Gamecube, in black, the color I wanted, and a game was beside it; It read “Animal Crossing Wild World.” I was ecstatic. I had no idea what “Animal Crossing” was, but all I knew was, my Mom had gotten me a Gamecube! I screamed, running all about the place in a frenzy, but settled down soon enough to power on the Gamecube and try out Animal Crossing. Before long, I was greeted with the title screen, and I don’t know… but I just felt such a sense of wonder seeing that. Everything was so breathtaking to me; I thought it was beautiful. I started up my town, and I remember logging so much time in this game—a game I knew nothing about, a game I certainly wasn’t expecting (I honestly wanted a Mario game), but nevertheless, the experience of playing Wild World was truly magical.

Fast forward to 2013; my next encounter with Animal Crossing would come in the form of New Leaf. I had long since forgotten about the series, but my girlfriend at the time told me to pick up New Leaf and play with her. I thought the name was familiar, but I honestly didn’t make the connection that this was another game in the series I played as a kid. After loading up the game however, I was quickly hit with a wave of nostalgia. New Leaf felt so… familiar, so close to home. Seeing the title screen alone, made me feel the way I did on my birthday all those years prior, when my Mom gave me my Gamecube with Animal Crossing. I… was choking back tears honestly; it was just so perfect. I played New Leaf with my girlfriend; we talked on the phone for hours while playing, and it was such a heartwarming experience. New Leaf was so much more to me than just another game. It helped me through rough patches, it was there through happy times—everything.

Once again, years later, I’m back with New Horizons, and I’ve met a couple wonderful friends through this game so far. They’ve honestly enriched this game tremendously for me. It brings me great joy trading them things they don’t have, or inviting them over to sell turnips at my place. They’re some of the kindest people I’ve met, and I met them because of… Animal Crossing. It’s really difficult to express just what Animal Crossing means to me, but it has definitely claimed a very special place in my life, and has… grown with me, it feels.

Aw this is such a sweet idea!! One memory I hold dear to my heart is the time Lobo sent me a letter in New Leaf! He said something about how it's okay to feel down every now and then and at the time I was feeling a bit depressed so his letter really cheered me up!

omg i'd love to enter!!

as for ac memories, the day i got raymond is definitely going to be in my heart for a while!
a very very very kind person over on discord advertised that they were selling raymond, and when i pmed with my top offer (i was reaching very far out on a limb lol), they said that they would give him to me for free! i feel like i'm forever indebted to them, he's my ultimate dreamy and i had just about given up on the prospect of finding him!
he moved in the next day once i got a plot open and he's been a barrymore resident ever since! i love him to death haha
