Going to the U.S. and need advice

I live on the West Coast, in California, so I can't really help you like a local can. But Yelp is a good starting point for getting a feel for new places (food, restaurants, etc.). If you want to do some second-hand shopping, look for thrift stores (I recommend Goodwills and SPCA thrift stores; they tend to have pretty good items for not too expensive, and the money goes to good causes) or second-hand consignment stores. Typically avoid the big tourist shopping places if you're going economical, since they're designed to get the most money out of you.
Also, be really, REALLY careful during nights and evenings. If you're going someplace when it's getting/is dark out, stay in well-lit areas where there are plenty of other people around. It's better to be safe than sorry, and the last thing you want is to get hurt when you're supposed to be having fun.
I hope you have a great time, and I apologize in advance for any idiots who happen to live here. ^^;
Ty, we wanted to visit California too, but it got really expensive and had to cancel x_x

You can come sleep on my couch here in California. Super economic.
Lol, ty. Maybe the next time xDD I need to come back to my country and find a job, can't stay more. It's funny that I studied something that lets me travel around the world but I can never seem to find a job related to what I have studied ._.

Definitely watch out for sketchy people at night. Also watch out for ******* drivers. Seriously. I feel like Florida drivers are freaking nuts.

.. Although, I would say not to visit America because of how people are generally to foreigners sometimes...

It's nice to see the mesh mix of cultures binding together.. :3

Nah, but in all serious, a lot of Americans aren't bad. A good app to download, especially, is Grubhub or some food delivery thereof. Not all delivery apps are specifically delivery, I mean. You can also find places that pickup, and have ratings to tell you about them, and they have menus for you to choose from. Very useful, especially in a city. XD

But, as I live elsewhere in the States than where you depicted of going, I can't help. Sorry. ;x;

You're welcome! Yeah, California can be expensive, especially depending on where you go. I'm in Northern California, but I hear from my friends in Southern California that it can get pretty expensive sometimes. San Francisco is also expensive; most of the big cities are, but there are deals available for the people who look. If you want some recommendations for a future California trip, feel free to message me anytime! I'm always happy to help. :)

If ur in NYC you can just do whatever an explore and you'll find plenty to do if you want to go shopping I usually just go to Nintendo Land, It's Sugar, and buy food from street vendors then do whatever. If you like museums go to The Met, and there's musicals on Broadway if you're into that.

Ty for your suggestion, I'll Google the met up.
