I have oe and it does not give you the discount at GG. You get one by having 1 mill in the bank.

It does nothing at all, it is only a progress marker, like the tissue box, and the piggy bank. It shows others how far you've progressed monetarily.

Well, it's a golden item so there's one reason. And like someone said, it shows that you have XXX Bells in your Bank. I'm not so sure about the 'extra interest' idea as I haven't seen it happen yet =P

Like Dark said, if you don't have enough money on hand, the clerk will (with your permission) subtract the total from your bank.

Not really the best golden item in the box =P But it shows you have quite a bit of money, I think
