Good or bad idea?

So I have decided to restart one of my towns because the pink fairytale theme is kind of played out I think, so I've destroyed all of the houses and put all of the stuff out because at first I was going to do a yard sale (I already had a few people participate) where people could just come and take stuff for a few TBT and they could take a pocketful of stuff.

But I have a lot of stuff that isn't worth too much, like normal furniture items and stuff, so I was thinking about taking all the orderable things and selling them all for bells and then just save up all of the bells onto a new character in the town and then name him something like "The Giver" or something and just go to club Tortimer and make it rain on strangers to make their day.

But I will save the unorderables and flowers and stuff that is worth a bit more to sell or give away here, but I have so many bells, and I hate selling bells because doing the running back and fourth and having to try to keep track of it all... so I figured giving it to random strangers on the island would be a nice thing to do.

So do you think this is a good idea? A bad idea? Or do you have a better idea to do with it all?

Don't give bells to random people on Club Tortimer. You'll just encourage more people to become bell beggars. Just give the orderable stuff away to people on this site if you are going to give away the profits anyway.

Wahh, you are so nice! I would love to take all your bells but I think giving items is the way to go, bells people can gain anytime whereas items sometimes take a little longer to find and may cherish it a bit more. I know running back and forth is such a hassle but the bells you have already in this town could really help your next town too, good luck!

Oh please don't encourage them. All the beggars ruin Club Tortimer for me. Very awesome of you to want to give though!

I agree with everyone re not "making it rain" for random strangers--- but if you like the island tours you could always give the bells afterwards to strangers that you had a good time with on the tours. I always felt pretty thankful toward the Club Tortimer players who turned out to be polite and normal...

You should only give bells to non bell beggars and people who aren't rude. It'll only encourage them.

True, I do encounter a lot of beggars, but I've only ever gotten money from people randomly who I didn't ask anything of and I became friends with a lot of them when I was first starting out...

And I already have transferred a little to my new town but I actually enjoy catching the bugs and earning things, cause I bought a big lot of IGB off here a while back, that's why I have so much...
