But dear I'm getting late
I bid my farewell
So goodbye

I remember the first day
You called to me with a hey
I bid my farewell
So goodbye

When I'm gone do not cry
Or think that the promises were all lies
I bid my farewell
So goodbye

I bid my farewell
I hope that you can tell
Whats deep inside
As I say goodbye

I like it, but I don't understand.. "But dear I'm getting late"
YOU are getting late? Do you not mean it's getting late?

XD You got me.

@MrMr it's about someone parting.
When I said 'Dear I'm getting late'
it means I have to go now. I can't stay any longer.

Okay. Haha. I thought that's what it meant, but I just wanted to make sure. Good job.

The, "You called me with a hey" sounds quite a forced rhyme, but apart from that it's great.

Keep it up! :D
