How did you get your pet(s)? 🐈‍⬛🐇🦮🦜

My cat, Kikkomon was found in a dumpster by my stepmom’s friend so we decided to adopt her

We went to Catcon and adopted our youngest cat, Mila. I wasn’t expecting to get a new kitten but put me in a room full of kittens that need homes and I might just come home with all of them!

I won't go into a long story, but basically I also found a cat many years ago living behind a dumpster (not "in" though! Oh my!)

He was being "taken care" of by the nurses at the convalescent hospital (cardboard box and a bowl of dry food). He was skin and bones and following me everywhere, not afraid of any of the noises from my truck and delivery.

Long story short, I drove home with him crawling all over my dash and feet in my semi truck for about an hour or so. It was probably stupid, and I am glad I didn't get pulled over, and he didn't get under the pedals.

But he was beautiful, and SUCH a special personaity!

There are so many details that add to this story, but I am trying to keep it short. It was dramatic.

Here he is, with my other very beloved cat Gozer (they hit it off!) He is the white ragdoll. They have both since passed, but they had good loving lives!

Most of my cats were found as strays in the woods where I live. I'm not sure where they came from. I'm sure all of them were abandoned by someone who didn't want to deal with them anymore and drove them somewhere secluded and threw them out. People like that are pathetic. It's not a toy that when you grow tired of it you can just toss it aside.

I found one cat who was very sick. Could barely breath with snot all over his nose. I took him to the vet after he visited a few times and got comfortable with me. Was able to get him better. I named him Sticky because he got into my watermelon patch and got sticky watermelon juice all over himself. So I had to give him a little bath.

My axolotls, Momo and Peaches, were rescued from a bad situation in the south of England. The foster got them to a healthy weight and then they came to live with me in Scotland.

My kittens, Sebastian and Delta, are uncle and nephew (respectively). Despite being the nephew, Delta is older by 6 days. I met them at the sellers house when they were 3 and 4 weeks old, and brought them home a month later. Sebastian actually wasn't for sale. I fell in love with his sad little face and the seller told me that as I was taking one of the other kittens I could also have him as well if he was a boy (he was still unsure at the time) - lucky for me, he was.

Pictures of them at 3-4 weeks old vs now (Delta will be 5 months tomorrow):
