Good get banned for spamming

Miiverse was a really stupid idea.
It was a decent idea until they opened it up to 3DS owners too. Then it got stupid and cringy.

yep, a really stupid idea that got even worse over time. like, 30 posts a day?? really, nintendo? i thought you were better than this.

why that day in particular?

probably because that was the day the redesign came along, which made miiverse 10x worse than it already was

Actually, you can't get banned for spamming. And I wasn't spamming goddamnit

Miiverse is a very good example, in my opinion, of why Nintendo need to stop these dumb business ventures. I understand that they want to expand their territory and be innovative, but it almost never works out. There's no reason for making stuff like this. The Wii had such a better system.

I never really used Miiverse. I used it a couple of times for pictures, but never for anything else..

I only ever use Miiverse for clear Animal Crossing pictures. Nothing else, but sorry that you got banned. :/

While the concept of Miiverse sounded good on paper, I'm not exactly a fan on its execution, especially how badly moderated the service really is. The quote down below pretty much sums up on how strict Miiverse Admins are.

Sol from IGN Boards said:
The difference between online internet forums such as this and Miiverse is that on Miiverse, the context at which posts are made into are not taken into account; it's just a straight by-the-book application of the Miiverse Code of Conduct (MCC) to any particular potential violation. If there is any conduct that remotely fits any of the Violation Types in the MCC, then one will be warned or banned for that conduct, no exceptions. This is why I take extra care in what I post on Miiverse so I don't get myself into situations like this because once you're perma'd, there's no going back as there's no appeal process on Miiverse.

And that isn't even mentioning the poorly-conceived infrastructure that interacts between you and the Miiverse Admins. The notifications you would receive only tells you which category of rules you broke and links to which post was affected. They don't provide a well-detailed explanation on how you violated the Code of Conduct until you contact your Nintendo rep.

Nintendo just needs to look at other sites and should see how Mircosoft and Sony does there stuff. Or just have HUMANS being the admins

What you listed as an example was the perfect example of spam.

Honestly it was a very cool feature that allowed plenty of people to get together and talk about games, I actually spent loads of time on it near the beginning chatting with random Nintendo fans about games on there. I was sorely disappointed when the quality of it all declined.

They have online forums not connected directly to their gaming eco-structure and Playstation's Communities feature isn't that good. There probably are human Miiverse admins, but there's so much for them to do it's difficult on them to accurately do their job.

Haven't realled opened the Miiverse tab, maybe just once or twice when it was released but after that, never had I touched it open.

*Sniff* I miss the old Miiverse. *Sigh* I remember emailing Nintendo telling them to change and I got a reply saying basically, "Sorry, but no for our community sake" It's like, really Nintendo?

You can, however, get banned or receive a warning for posting irrelevant content.

Guys i understand that sometimes Miiverse can be unfair with their rules or it might even be ridiculous but keep in mind that this is a service from Nintendo that you use, if you use it that means you agree with the terms of use. If you do not play by the rules then you get banned. It is not that weird either. If you just know what's allowed and what's not then it isn't all that bad.
