Gracie Grace Glitch? :(

To answer another question, after you pass the test, save and quit, and then go back in the game, she is gone from the plaza.

Weird about the glitch. I don't TT at all, but I wish I had for Gracie. It took over 8 weeks for her to return for all 4 checks. She was absent for 5 weeks before the last check.

Yeah, I'm very hesitant about TTing, as I love my villagers so much and I would cry if I accidentally TT'd and any of them moved out or were in boxes. I've TT'd before, but I try not to do it often. I like playing the game day by day. But I might TT for gracie. It kind of sucks how Graice, Redd, and Katrina just come whenever they feel like it lol. I really want Katrina to open up her store up on Main street, but she's only been in my town like 10 times- and I've been playing the game since release.

I had this glitch too! It was really weird and when I googled it basically nothing comes up which is rather annoying, I guess it's not common at all. xD I found I think, one thread about it? But there were no good answers. I couldn't find a solution so I guess you just don't get anything, which is rather unlucky and annoying.

..I was going to get a sweets dresser ;-;

I've only seen Gracie one time and it was at least a month ago. She said she did not like my town. I did pass the fashion check and she gave me a very ugly office desk. Not Sweets Set at all. I'm sick and tired of waiting on this part to finish.

Was it late? She leaves by the next day, I think.

I wish it was rated on how well you do the first time- like if you get a score of 80% or higher she moves in the next day. But if you don't get a 80% she has to come again and you have to try and get a good score so she'll move in. That would be easier then wondering all the time "When is Gracie going to come back?"

I'm glad I wasn't the only one! I was supposed to get a sweets dresser as well. I tried googling about it before posting a thread, but I couldn't find anything! Oh well.

I'm sure that it's impossible to get a piece of furniture from her. I know I got a cow tank and a coral shirt from her, and two other shirts that I can't remember what their name was. Unless you've got another region copy, but I doubt that it would make any difference.

I only got furniture from Gracie's fashion checks. Sweets player, sweets lamp, sweets sofa, and sweets minitable.

I thought that after you had gotten Gracie once she'd come once a week until you passed 4 times? She did for me, though always on different days.
And I believed you get furniture for exactly 4 matching theme clothes, and a piece of that seasons clothing for 5/6 matching parts. 3 is a pass but random clothes and 1 or 2 failed? My checks followed in line with this at the least anyway.

Not sure why you wouldn't have received anything, I guess your pockets weren't full? Cause she should have stayed to give you the item later in that case. :?

I have 2 towns and all the times I passed the fashion checks I got furniture.

I have two mayors; one got a Gracie tank (for my cruddy Basic outfit) and 3 pieces from the Gracie series; the other got 4 pieces from the sweets series. I got complaints from her but furniture for my outfits that were complete outfits (like the pink zap outfit - she said it was pretty plain vanilla but ok and gave me a desk); but she loved it if I added a piece from a compatible theme. The number of pieces was different in each outfit so I'm not sure how it breaks down. (I still am not sure why she didn't like the basic outfit, I did pass but it obviously was low-scoring.)

I would definitely tt for Gracie - I never tt in my main town, but after gracie came the first time she didn't come back for 4 weeks! I was not waiting a couple more months so I tt'd and did the remaining 3 checks and got it over with.

I've only had T.I.Y. for like a month and I've had Gracie come to my town three times already! I've read somewhere that it's possible (read: the author was speculating) that you have to keep spending more bells at T.I.Y. and it's like a tier-thing that gets Gracie to be motivated to come to your town. So you need to spend 70k bells to get her to come for a first visit, then it would be 10k more to get her to come again, 10k more again, etc. until you've spent the 100k to get Gracie to come her fourth time, you pass the check, then get the Emporium. Obviously you would also have to wait if you haven't had T.I.Y. for a month yet, but as long as Gracie's come the fourth time, then you've already spent enough bells to get the last store upgrade. I'm not sure if they were right, but I've been continuously just buying everything in the store that I haven't yet catalogued just so I can have them. So it would be impossible for me to determine if this has been affecting Gracie coming to my town more often or not. It makes me wish I had another copy of the game to do some experimenting. xD

From what I understand, Gracie gives out clothing if you barely pass the check, and furniture if you pass with flying colours (have everything but one item matching).

She always gave me furniture on my fashion checks, I never got clothes. You can just TT back a day and then go back forward and she'll be there again. You can actually get all your fashion checks done at once that way but you'll have to be careful not to move anyone out who you want to keep xx

Odd. I thought she only gave you fashion check exclusives. Because she seemed pretty pleased with my outfits.

too lazy to read through 4 pages of this thread so idk if it got answered properly.
but it's something like if you have 3 pieces of clothing in the style she asks you to dress you get clothing. if you have 4 she gives you furniture.

Hmph, at first I never knew passing Gracie's test was required to get the Nook Emporium, which was a big bummer to hear, i'm not a fan of fashion. Haha. But hmm, this glitch sounds very interesting to witness with my own eyes, do you have a video or anything? I would really like to see this.

Oh yeah, one time a tree had a apple on the ground, but 2 apples in the tree, one of the apples was on the ground. I shook the tree and the apple flew up and fell with the other 2. Lol.

Hey guys! I thought I'd just keep you updated with Gracie Grace, and since I didn't get chance to TT during the weekend because of homework and what not, I just decided to wait for her to come back.

So when I got home today I booted up animal crossing to do a few things on there before I have lunch, and what do you know! Gracie Grace is back! She was literally just here on Saturday! Crazy. Anyways, my fashion theme was "Keep it Basic" and I was wearing all basic except for shoes- I was wearing cute ones. She said I nailed it, and she gave me a sweets sofa. Which I actually GOT this time!

At the first fashion check, I passed, but wasn't head to toe in theme. I received a shirt.
At all other fashion checks, I had shoes, clothes, and something on my head that was in theme. I received a Gorgeous stool, Gorgeous chair, and Gorgeous Dresser.

Yeah, we all came to the conclusion that she gives clothes and furniture on fashion checks! Someone on here said it depends how well you tackle the theme if you get furniture or not. Like if you do a decent, but not an amazing job she gives you clothing. If you do really great she gives you furniture.
