Guide Book Confirmed!

I just pre-ordered it as well, though $30 seems a bit steep... Hopefully it's great though. Since the game was announced I've been hoping for a guide to use as reference for events, museum collections, etc. I remember using the original Animal Crossing guide like it was a Bible, so as long as it is at least that good, I'll be happy.

Also, I'm aware that I will be able to find all that stuff online, but the problem with that is that it takes awhile for any game to have reliable information for awhile, especially for one like Animal Crossing. Plus, like someone else said, it makes a nice collectors item.

I like having the guides. I don't really remember the NL being spectacular, but I still liked having it to catalog everything I had.

I know the NL one had a lot of inaccuracies, but I honestly didn't really mind too much. I mainly use the guides as a checklist for items and it seemed good enough for that.

There's too many extras. It's a small fortune.

If I want to know something, I'll ask someone here, or google it.

Added it to my Amazon wishlist out of curiosity, plus I like collecting these.
Hopefully I remember to buy it when it comes out haha, cannot pre-order it currently.

I’ll probably grab this. I’ve always loved reading these books, and even if it’s easier to find accurate information on the internet, I still like having the physical guides as collectibles. Plus, they bring back memories of playing games on vacations while away without internet access.

Any word on whether they’ll make a hardcover collector’s edition of this? I’ve gotten those for a bunch of other games (BOTW, Super Mario Odyssey, Smash, etc), and I would love to get that for ACNH if they’re making one.

I just pre-ordered the guide in English as well, I like having guides just for the pictures of the games (ACNH is so beautiful tbh) but I know it will be useful in the future ^^. I will only read the guide in a couple months, I wanna discover the game by myself first.

This is such great news...and Amazon lists it as 432 pages! That's enough space for lots of info and pics. It is interesting about the different US release dates. Gamestop has 4/3 and Amazon has 4/9.

Since it has been confirmed that most holidays will come with free updates, I wonder what the guide will do about that? They did say that it will come with an online calendar, so maybe they will update it as new holidays are released.

$30.. ugh, not worth it. People online will figure everything out and post guides eventually. Printed guidebooks can be useful, but that's mainly for games that aren't changing. I don't see how they could put in things about the free updated holidays. Heck, Nintendo themselves might not have fully developed and designed those yet. So if the guide is potentially incomplete, I don't see the point of paying that much.

Amazon.com has a sale on the Guidebook. It's $17.99 and not sure when it ends.
I bought it to add to my collection.

I already pre-ordered it for me and my mom and I pre-ordered another one for a friend of mine who will be playing the game too and I sure she will be very grateful. I'm glad they made one, so now I won't be lost. xD

Kinda sucks that since holiday events come in updates that there wont be anything on them or their items in the guide

There’s a possibility that it will be there, who knows (on a side note, Glad I waited, no way I was paying 30 for a softcover book unless it was hard cover)

wellllll while i was preordering animal crossing, i just on a whim decided so i guess i'm getting the guidebook too now LOL i have the strongest love for ac and have practically no merch aside from amiibo cards, so it'll be nice to have something i may be able to use / put on a bookshelf.

i hope the inside of the book is really pretty. 432 pages is A LOT. for less than $20. i hope it's very comprehensive and informative.

It's labeled as "The Official Guide," so hopefully they're feverishly scouring the game for any and all details. I want more information, less pictures.
