S U M M A R Y​

Casey Adhara is inevitably dead. Soon enough, when she realizes that she is not breathing, and instead resting in an afterlife plane called Europa, she meets another spirit; a boy her age, an amputee, named Avi. Together, they make a pact and set forth to discover their pasts, to find a friend and a twin brother, and learn about the place Casey once called home.
Casper Adhara is inevitably alive. After uncovering the fact that he has a deceased twin sister, he is determined to learn everything about her, with the help of a spirit named Isabelle, whom he met when he was only a child. Together, they discover the clues leading to the death of Miss Casey Adhara, the details of Isabelle's past life, and set in motion a plan that just might destroy the town of Hillrose, Colorado.
And all the while, the four teens didn't realize they were about to stumble upon an utterly tragic secret.

Hillrose is mainly about two twins: Casey and Casper Adhara, Casey being dead, Casper being alive. While Casey "grows" up in an afterlife plane called Europa, Casper continues his life unknowing about his sister, in their hometown, Hillrose, Colorado. Casey dies at the young age of 5, and Casper's mother convinces him that Casey was just a figment of his imagination. Around the time of Casey's death, Casper meets a spirit named Isabelle. She constantly hangs around him and Casper eventually befriends her at a very young age, so they become life-long friends. Casey, on the other hand, grows up in the care of various spirits (Rule 1: If you die at a young age, you will continue to grow until you realize your dead), and eventually travels Europa on her own when she turns 16. This is when she meets Avi. When Avi mysteriously disappears out of frustration, she is appalled and asks a woman about what had just happend, and she explains that Casey is on Europa, etc. Casey, while discovering her new found "home", finds out about a ruling system to keep the vast population of spirits at bay. (I actually still need a term for them, lmao, but let's refer to them as leaders.) These leaders include: The King, Queen, Space, and Time. King and Queen mainly affiliated with the afterlife, Space and Time mainly affiliated with life. The leaders are pre-determined by Him, and once the leaders claim their positions, they instantly jump into communicating with their heirs, while simultaneously keeping Europa and Earth in order. Meanwhile, Isabelle is trying to find a way to Europa (she's trapped on Earth, yo) and Avi is trying to find his friend.
The story revolves around a sister attempting to communicate with her brother, a brother attempting to uncover information about his sister, a spirit trying to go home, and another spirit trying to find his best friend!

Decided to make a thread about my story?? I will post more, but I'd love criticism or what you think about the story. I'm kinda nervous about this tho, I came up with this story about 2 years ago and I'm still working on it today.
