Is there a compilation of the new hairstyles we've seen so far and today?

We know the starting choices now:


We also know that we can purchase 16 new hairstyles with nook miles:


Which one was your favorite? Do you think there will still be some form of Shampoodle in the game?

I've made a sloppy compilation, probably missed some:

I wouldn't be surprised if there was some form of Shampoodle in the game because I know I saw more hairstyles than those beginning ones. I do love that we have to start off more limited, but we still have a good amount of choices at the beginning!

Part of me wants to start with the airplane hair, but I really love the waves and the pigtails are always so cute. It also looks like we get some hair shade variation at the beginning. My hair (IRL) is a deep brown that is dyed red right now so it looks really close to the dark reddish brown. Of course, that will be the one I'm going for.

If I had to guess, I’d say that we can switch between the 8 starter hairstyles whenever, but the additional unlockable ones have to be done at Shampoodle. At least that’s how I hope it will be. Harriet is one of my favorite NPCs.

All the styles (three!) that used to be ok for guys look odd now. I think it's the plastic look that makes the hair look like a globule?

out of the starters, i really like the pigtails but i love the braids i’ve seen in some of the photos (typically seen with the girl character with blue hair in a raincoat - saw her sitting with lily at the start of the direct)

There's not a single one I would use.

We don't get them all from the start in New Leaf either. Besides, isn't it fun to unlock things in a game?

i feel like the hairs you can start with is less than the selection in acnl, but i guess the fact that there's more character customization in general makes up for it.

But.. hair, that's important. I can't have that flat head looking thing that looks like the kid had a bowl dumped on his head, and someone cut around it with shears! O_O

Guess I’m not completely satisfied with the base hairstyles but it’s not a huge deal. My hair is fairly long for a male though, I might just have to settle for different styles later in the game.

Which ones? And yeah, I agree, the textures? Models? On some of the hairstyles look pretty strange.

I like the spikey, the longish one that kinda looks like Sam Winchester, and the one that looks like Dean.

The rest are flat and weird.

Out of the starting ones for girls I really like the long straight one, and the wavy one to the right of it. I'm not sure which I'll choose out of those, I'll have to see what looks best with my face details.

For the others I love the bun, the braids, and I think the short, straight side parted one looks really cute with hats.

I'm so happy that they aren't all available from the get go. I can't wait to work towards unlocking them all.

just don't even place your villagers tents they have to sleep sitting until your locks are luscious and harriet's on speed dial

Personally I like the look of the new hairstyles, though I wish we could pick from all at the start, but whatever.
