Halloween!

Halloween is my favorite holiday. I love the atmosphere can be and all of the spooky decorations are always fun to look at. I love watching scary movies or Halloween cartoon specials. I love dressing up in whatever costume I feel like and have loads of candy stored. I love how different it is from the other campy holidays and most of all, when you go out at night you see plenty of other folks walking too.

I can understand why others don't really like Halloween though.

An update to my last post:

I washed the spiders out of the windows (well...actually, I threw pitchers of water at the webs until they got washed away, but it still worked), so we've begun to decorate at last! :D

HA! i love that!

Um...so yeah.

I did this.

I live in a town where there is only old people around me, so they celebrate zero.
And as for me, I am just stressing out that someone might knock at the door, lol.
I like decorating in Online Games for Halloween tho.

Small Halloweenstory
As a kid I often would come to my friends house to stay overnight and give out candies
to smaller kids. She had a neighbour that constantly bullied me and he came one time
on Halloween and he was shooting firework at me. One hit me and it was leaving a
quite big bruise on my leg. Another one almost hit me directly in the face and he kept
on going. Apparently one was very strong and almost hit me without me noticing and
I might as well could've died from that one, according to the mother of my friend.
That was the last time I ever did anything for Halloween outside my home.

Oh wow. That was so mean. No one should be doing those things. I'm so sorry. :(

I don't think someone ever did something about him.. you know he's that rich kid that everyone bends over for,
because his father is powerful in the town. Never understood why a ~16yo has to bully a ~11yo girl that wasn't
even half his size. Anyways, I still love fireworks, sadly in France you can't just buy them like in Germany, so it's
pretty damn lame on new year. xD
My bf had never had a german new year, he was shocked when we were visiting my Mom once during it.
Well, someone had some of those illegal bombs and almost made a car near us take fire with it, lol.
Also one time, on new year my parents were usually drunk (nothing unnormal I'd say) and he failed to put the
rocket correctly into the bottle. Rocket flew right next to my head exploding behind me. Oh boy my Mom was mad.
I guess fireworks are meant to hate me. D:

Indeed.. never understood why people doing such things.

I love Halloween, more so for all the spoopy decorations I wish were more easily available year round and the horror media stuff that tends to turn up around that time. Most of it is cheap trash, but I see some good finds in shops that usually wouldn't stock that stuff the rest of the year.

This year will be my first Halloween both with my girlfriend and in this house. She's excited to dress up and decorate the house, I'm just wondering whether or not we'll actually get trick or treaters seeing as that seems to be a dying trend. Even where I used to live, it was an area full of kids but we would get, what, like 4 trick or treaters? Living on a main road with from what I've gathered 0 kids I don't expect to see any.

I love Halloween! It has always been my favorite holiday. The spooky aesthetic for the month of October is awesome. I like to dress up for Halloween, even if I'm just at home and not going anywhere. Watching scary movies and Halloween specials is always a fun time. I love cartoons, so I try to watch as many Halloween specials as I can.

I adore Halloween! It's always been a very fun time as long as I can remember. As a child, I often wished my birthday would fall within the same week to host a costume party! (My birthday falls a week after.) I love seeing how people decorate their houses! Some people go all out for it and it's such a joy. Such fun and spooky energy!

I also love autumn in general. Watching the leaves turn orange, yellow, red, and brown, cozy sweaters, pumpkins... it's such a warm environment. The weather is just right, too.

I'm not sure what I'll do this year, but I'll try to decorate a little bit if I have time. Most years, my boyfriend and I make little goody bags with Pokemon cards to give to local kids so perhaps we'll do that again. I would love to go to a pumpkin patch, though!

I love Halloween. I don't even know why I feel hyped for it every year but as soon as october 1st hits I get excited. Must be the aesthetics. Plus I love passing by houses and seeing those who decorate. Makes me wish I had a house to decorate for the occasion. All I can do is put an ornament on my door ): Reminds me my mom's friend/coworker was telling me to not do that because Halloween was devil stuff lmao. I don't know if there's a saying in catholic/christian but she's really devoted to the church.

Halloween is a neat holiday i'd say, it gives the spooky stuff a time to really shine. (Whereas spooky stuff can shine at any month, its really focused in October)

I'm going to be dressing up as the same person I was last year. Villager Boy from Mario Kart 8/Deluxe. Only this time, I'm going to find the right pants as last year, they weren't the right ones. If they even exist that is.

As for decoration, I haven't gone up to that yet, but it'll be basic. Spiderwebs and such.

I love Halloween! I took Halloween off from work because I hate putting up with drunk stupid people in costumes. In about a week I'll be buying my costume - I'll be out on the town as the Thirteenth Doctor from Doctor Who, if all goes according to plan. I'll also buy a whole lot of candy with intention of handing it out to trick or treaters but I'll eat it before that has a chance to happen.

Halloween is my very favorite holiday. When I was little and I could still trick-or-treat, I would go to my cousins' house and do it every year with them. They lived in a really tight-knit neighborhood that gave out the good candy and all the adults would meet at my aunts' house for a big potluck and it was amazing.

Now that I'm older, my husband and I marathon horror movies during the month of October. Usually I hit up the store and buy Halloween decorations slowly every week. It is the only holiday I go all-out on house decorations for. We've been on a budget and also moving this year so, unfortunately, no decorations... YET. There will probably be some before the end of the month, lol.

I try to have a costume every year, even if I'm not going to parties. They let us dress up at the library, so I'll at least wear my costume to work on Halloween and then come home and hand out candy in it in the evening. I LOVE HALLOWEEN. IT IS SO FUN AND SPOOKY AND MISCHIEVOUS BUT ALSO THE KIDS THAT COME TO MY DOOR ARE CUTE AND SWEET AND AMAZING. I love getting to be a part of the Halloween tradition.

so, halloween is in a few weeks and i see people, including me already getting ready. halloween always makes me hyped and i don't even know why! anyways, how do you feel about halloween? do you like the hype? do you hate it? i wanna know!

I like the thought of enjoying Halloween but most years I don't do anything. Except for making my dentist rich.
