Hamburgers: Raw onions, grilled onions, no onions, or no preference?

Do you eat onions on your burgers? If so, how do you prefer them? I normally don't eat onions on my burgers, but when I do they have to be grilled or caramelized. Raw onions are just way too strong in their taste and even the smallest amount completely overpowers the rest of the burger to me.

I prefer my everything with no onions. I think they're just so horrible. I guess it's fine if I can't detect onion, such as a kind of paste or onion powder, because it's not the taste I hate but the onion itself, if that makes any sense.

These onion, however, I would want every day because it looks like candy lol

Grilled onions are good! I don't mind if the burger doesn't have onions, though. My favorite toppings are aioli sauce & a tomato.

I gave up eating red meat over a decade ago, so that means I haven't eaten any hamburgers in many years. I don't really have experience with onions on hamburgers other than when I was a very young child and whenever we went to McDonald's there would always be onions on my burgers even though I didn't want them. Picky eater child that I was, it turned me away from McDonald's and led me to recognize the sovereignty of the Burger King.

Since I don't eat red meat anymore, I might never find out whether I like onions on a burger in my adulthood nor even what style of onion for that matter. It's entirely possible that I might like it since people's taste buds change through life, and for example I developed a liking for pickles in adulthood when I hated them as a child.

i typically have my burgers without onions— not because i don’t like them, but because i’m not really a toppings person when it comes to burgers. i love raw and grilled onions though, and will happily eat them on their own, on my burger, or in other dishes!

I don't like the taste or texture of onions, so I never have them on my veggie burgers. I'm more of a pickle kinda person.

No but for real I love onions xD I will eat anything with onions, if people ask how many onions I want I say extra.
