Hard taco shells or soft taco shells

I go with hard taco shells. Though what I really love to do is wrap them with a soft shell.

where i live the restaurants call crunchy tortillas "American style."

otherwise, its presumed that the tortillas will be soft, and some of the restaurants only serve tacos on soft tortillas.

the big ordering question is whether you want corn or wheat tortillas (for the soft ones, the crunchy are always made of corn...). also, some places only put onions and cilantro on the tacos, if you want cheese, tomatoes, and lettuce, they call that American style also...

I usually get soft tacos. Occasionally I feel like having a hard taco shell, but that's fairly rare.

If I want something crunchy I'll usually eat nachos instead.

Soft. Hard is way too messy because it just breaks apart.. honestly don't understand how people eat it. Wouldn't it be easier to use the filling as a dip for tortilla chips instead?

hard tacos are good in theory but it is very difficult to eat them neatly?? they just kinda,,, fall apart after a while or maybe i'm just a heathen who is bad at eating? so i guess soft tacos win until i figure out how to eat

It really depends on the filling, but when you go with things like shredded beef or pork you should go soft, but when its things like ground beef you gotta go with a hard taco.
