Has anyone ever peeled off their Switch Lite decal skin?

My switch lite has a peel & stick skin on it and I was just wondering if anyone has a positive experience taking it off? I've been looking online how much residue will be left behind with mixed reviews.

I bought my switch off my friend and she put a pink/purple cloud skin on it and the skin isn't lined up at all. It's not my style either and its starting to peel in the back. I want to just have the yellow switch underneath but I might have to put a new skin on if it's all sticky? idk

I'd appreciate any tips.

I know this isn't the same but I had a skin I bought off Etsy for my 3DS. I took a blowdrier and heated up the skin so it was easier to pull off. I gently tugged and heated it until it came off. Left no residue.

I don't know if it works the same for the switch or not but I thought I'd try mentioning my experience with the 3DS skin.
