Has anyone written a ton of unfinished stories/short books?

I used to have "Sebastian Stan is my celebrity crush" in my Wattpad bio until he got "canceled" 😭
Cancel culture is so weird... From what I researched, the girl he got cancelled over wasn't even his girlfriend? I could be wrong on that but... I couldn't 'un-stan' him over something so silly... Plus, he's had such an impact on my life, he's 'saved' me, pretty much. I love him, haha. Bucky has always been a huge comfort character of mine, and Seb has always been my favorite celeb. Nothing will change that unless if he does something absurd or just absolutely unbelievable.

i used to write allll the time, so i have a folder full of unfinished stuff. unfortunately i haven't written anything in years now for a number of reasons, but i hope to start again sometime soon.

mine arent stories or books, they are fanfics! i never finished one bc i donr have the courage or dedication to actually finish and upload them somewhere lol hahah

Story of my life, pretty much. I don't really think of it as a bad thing though—there's a lot of story concepts and things that I started when I was younger and just outgrew, but it's all helped me figure out what I'm doing. I can always recycle any elements from them I still like later, in other things. Others I still plan to go back to at some point, and there's others that I might try to rewrite.
I'm hopeful that my current main writing project will be one that I can see through to the end though!

Haha yep. My day job is screenwriting! You've probably watched some things I've co-written! You've definitely heard of the things and even more likely to have watched the things my bf has written and produced, buuuut I don't want to be identified so I won't say the names. Our house has an office with a walk in closet which is just files upon files of early drafts. Some of those early drafts are completely different stories to the final one, so it's like finding whole new stories in there at times. Luckily these can be recycled for other shows if they're very different to something that's already screened, so they have a purpose.

I had my first short story published at the age of 6 when my teacher put it forward for some competition and then things seem to escalate from there haha. It was just something that came naturally to me, though I never intended to make it my career. It only became my career a couple of years ago, I never even tried to pursue it. I used to just write for myself, or to entertain someone else. I wrote plenty that will never see the light of day. Some stuff I wrote on a random forum was spotted by the right person one day and...well...pretty much overnight success haha. As in, that's literally my full time job now, writing short stories as episodes for various shows. My bf has had a few of his own shows, so he's super successful in this world. Neither of us will really NEED to work again, but I can't imagine not doing it now. I think it's really good for our mental health to have constant peojects to spew our brains onto, so darker thoughts don't take over so easily.

I love reading people's work, no matter how incomplete it is. It's like getting an insight into exactly how their brain works and where their soul was at during that time. Though that was the same reason I hid my writing for soooo many years, because I would be scared people would be able to see how disturbed I am or guess certain things about me. But..if anyone here feels up to sharing any and BEARING THEIR SOOOOUL then I'd love to read it!

I have one, and I’m kind of stuck on it. I may finish it eventually, but I’m not sure. I’m not stressing over it though. It’s just if something comes to mind, I’ll write it down.
