Has Become Really Unenjoyable

Thanks for the advice everyone.
And sorry for assuming that majority cheat.
I have gone to the Island, but the most I have made is around 50-75,000 bells. (If I am lucky with the sharks and beetles)
As for the turnips, I've never tried that. So I probably will now x).

I catch only palm beetles, rainbow beetles, and giant stags/scarabs (if I'm on that late) and usually come home with about 350k in bells per trip. I've made no modifications to my trees. I do scare off all other insects and catch the emperor butterfly, but trade them out for higher price beetles. It usually takes me about an hour to an hour and a half to do this. You could do it faster if you modify your trees to get just what you want.

i dont bother with dream villagers
doesnt matter too much to me who is in my town
i only like 2-3 of my villagers anyway, and would only really care if just phil moved away
but i get the feeling
i would be so done with this game by now if i didnt time travel, i know i would. and i still do prefer harvest moon haha.

I used to trade villagers away for another villager/bells, but I realized how wrong it sounds (despite being a game, but still?)
But don't sweat it, this is how people chose to play and earn money. :p

Yeah. I am logging on for like 5 minutes every few days now. It's getting super boring xD

There's more to this game then villagers. Mostly, what's been keeping me going is planning out my house and town.

hope I get zucker one day to give to you :(

Thank you =]

Well, I finally started without paying attention to the villagers.
I got- Coco, Goose, Ricky, Eloise, and Cheri

The only one I like is Coco because well she is super unique lolz.
If anyone wants the others I'll save them for you~

I've been in the same boat as you.. I just to bored of my town layout and jealous of all the dream towns I see.

But I realized that this game is more then that. I really like most of my villagers, even if they aren't my dreamies. I also started to really landscape my town. I put paths down and places PWP in interesting spots.

Its just, I can't play 24/7 because I would grow really tired of it.

Same here. I reset out of boredom, really. When you've reset for the first time, you'll probably get this nasty habit of doing more reseting.

I've been taking breaks from NL, and playing ROMs of WW and Population Growing to give me some nostalgia. I just get ROMs of games I enjoy but low /never had, and that's my break from NL.

You are acting as if anyone with more than 40 mil bells is a cheater. If you buy 2 million bells worth of turnips every week and visit a town with 600 prices every week you can get that much in not that much time. Also selling hybrids makes a ton of bells

I apologized for that. It's just always been difficult for me to make bells.
The most I ever made is 50-70k for spending quite some time trying to catch beetles and sharks at the Island x).
I never tried selling Turnips, but I'll give that a try now.

I recommend looking at the boards after you buy turnips every now and then to see if anyone's retail is buying turnips for a high price~ If you always try to sell at your own town you may not make much of a profit unless you're really lucky. xP

Honestly, I could care less about which villagers I have.... I care more about where they move in (because I have my town organized with pathways, and a lot of the time they keep moving in the middle of paths where I can't re-route)

I find I'm getting more into the game now that I've unlocked more pwps, now I'm starting to decorate my town and such. c:

And for bells, turnips are a good plan (I usually look on here and tumblr for high prices). Also, if you have a camper (especially a lazy one), you can make so much more money off of island trips if you have a little patience. When you play their games and win they'll buy your items for up to 4x more than the normal price. So I go with a load of beetles and sharks and make a ton, it just takes a little longer. The reason it's best with lazy campers is because you can win their game every time, and always get 4x the price. There's a guide on it on like gamefaqs or something, I don't want to go through the whole thing, but yeah. :p

Also, you can use the online aspect to your advantage and sell to other players. I just want to complete my catalog, not actually keep most of the items, so when I get rare items (like sloppy, cardboard, gracie, etc) I sell them on the forum. Same with extra fossils or paintings that you already have. Plus, this way it helps everyone else out with their wishlists. c:
