This just happened to me sadly. I tried entering a villager's house after I made an appointment and the game crashed on me. I'm worried to enter the game again tbh. I'm worried it'd crash again while saving and that'd be the end of it. Should I worry about saving? What should I do to remedy this?

jvgsjeff? OMG I love your channel.It's Inkwell, the Splatoon-themed octopus. He's been in my town for four years, and I'm still trying to get his photo. If/when he does give it to me, I'm definitely saving my game immediately.

It's prob a dusty port for me. I live in a dusty house, at least it seems that way, and keep my 3DS in a closet I keep most my games in, plus usually when I return to my 3DS after a while, sometimes the cart can be a little sensitive so I need to clean it. I can't remember if I had to this time.

Welp it happened again. This time kinda randomly. I just had W. Link visit my house, checked my Instrument Shed, then it crashed. Funnily enough, I entered W. Link's house when my game crashed the first time. Is this possibly linked?

lucky i wish i could have gotten a digital copy but ever since servers went down i cant
it has never happened to me personally. my copy has soft-locked itself before, but even then i can count the amount of times this has occurred on one hand.
my copy of Wild World on the other hand... i have spilt coffee on it before, and i have also dropped it in water. it speaks for itself. better yet, it still works to this day. it has crashed multiple times, it has many issues, and i experience frequent bizzare glitches, yet it still works. the glitches are entertaining, but my save file is honestly fighting for it's life

yes it happened to me a few times and I still don´t know what happened.my new leaf game crashed completely randomly yesterday while entering one of my villagers houses. i completely panicked and modded my spare 3ds, created a save state of the game, backed it up to my pc, and got it to work with a new leaf rom via citra from 12am to almost 3am. (very calm and rational decision making here)
but has this happened to anyone else here as well? only thread i could find here was one from 2017, and then another on gamefaqs from 2013, and couldn't really find a solid reason as to why. my game is a physical copy, bought firsthand, and has seen a lot of wear and tear over the last 11 years (12 next june!), with especially frequent use since mid-2022. just wondering if anyone else has any similar experiences and what might be the reason
