Have you ever been on a cruise? If so, is it worth it?

The reason I ask is because my boyfriends mom is trying very hard to convince me to go with them on a cruise but I'm not sure if it'd be worth my time lol. She's offering to pay for everything since she knows I don't have the money to pay for my own ticket being a college student. So, I figured I'd see if anyone else has been on a cruise and if they think it's be worth it to go. My main reasons for questioning it is because one of my biggest fears is the ocean and because I absolutely hate beaches and crowds of people so, to me, this seems like one big nightmare for things I don't like. But, like I said, I figured I'd see what others have to say what they think I should do. I've posted this here and on facebook to get the opinions of both strangers and friends and family

I’ve been on a cruise to Mexico when I was younger, and I can say it was definitely a LOT of fun (it was Carnival iirc). There wasn’t any fear of falling into the ocean or anything, actually, and the beach wasn’t overly crowded. The only kind-of-annoying-thing was that there were a bunch of people inland that were trying to sell us as tourists stuff, but hey, those same people are just trying to make enough money to survive, so I wasn’t really mad at them.

I would definitely go if you have a chance like this to.

I haven't been on a cruise, but personally, if I were to go on a boat I would prefer something smaller like a yacht.

But if someone's offering to take you, all expenses paid, then definitely go for It! ^^

Yeah I've been, one of those short few days ones to Finland. And no unless you're a party animal and likes shopping not really...

I went on one to Mexico when I was a kid and it was great! I was also terrified of the ocean when getting on it, and it did take me about a day to get comfortable on it. But after that I was just fine! You'll probably end up forgetting that you're even on one after a while because the inside is just like some kind of mall/resort hybrid.

I loved the one I went on when I was 16. Believe me, when you're tied down to a desk job, you don't have time for these things.

If someone is paying for you to go, then GO! Maybe it will be romantic for you and the bf.

Worst case scenario is that you hate it, but cruises aren't very long. Then you would know if you wanted to do it again or not in the future.
