When I went to Philippines, I tried 'Balut'. It looks disgusting so I won't upload pic for your eyes

It was really hard to eat.XD

I wonder if anyone's ever eaten anything more strange than me:rolleyes:

I don't eat parasitic cheese, kapp, and I have tried all sort of offal, but I've never heard of Balut until now. I don't think I'll try it. I am going to stick with lamb's fry (it's not actually a lamb, it's just better to say than a sheep I guess, since no one says "I'm having roast sheep tonight!")

I love Brussels sprouts. I love everything green, except for asparagus. I don't like them, they're not food, they're a tree. But I love broccoli because they're nice tasting trees. I only love Mushrooms in the Mario games, so I don't classify them as a vegetable. Because vegetables are supposed to be yummy... and mushrooms are not. Mushrooms are good for Mario and Luigi, so yay!

I eat a lot of things people don't like. There is nothing wrong with liking or disliking a food. But I think some choices are a bit too weird, but then I love green vegetables, so I guess we're even.

im a vegetarian and a lot of "weird food" dishes involve meat, like eel or octopus or balut lol  so idk, but I do like tofu mixed with maple syrup if thats considered weird lol

Before I became a vegan, I would visit some elders that live in the woods in Canada and they would eat every part of the animal. My two biggest memories are - trying beaver kidneys, and eating the bone marrow from a lake sturgeon?s spinal cord.
I?d never try it now, but when I was younger I thought they tasted good!

I?ve never tried tofu as a sweet dish, but I bet it does taste good with maple syrup because it?s very creamy and taste-neutral!

I once found some cookies in a gift shop that were flavoured with chocolate and ants. I dunno if ants are strange as a food worldwide, but they definitely are in Canada.

I don't call that weird because I eat tofu all the time. Because I'm not Canadian, I actually haven't has the initiative nor the inspiration to try it with maple syrup, but I will try that next time! :p

I think they compliment each other nicely :D

Not sure if that counts as weird, but my boyfriend had one the idea
of eating Spaghetti noodles with melted Nutella.. and yes, he salted the Spaghetti.
He was finding it awful, but I actually kind of liked it. :D

I got my friend chocolate covered crickets for christmas as a joke, and she said she wouldn't try them if I didn't, so we both ate crickets lmao

they weren't TERRIBLE but I definitely wouldn't eat them again lol

When I was at the R?union Island I ate some Ostrich. It looked and tasted more like beef than chicken but ti was very good!
I think it's quite common over there as they import it from Africa.

mountain chicken...
Turns out it was frog... XD
tastes like chicken for some reason

That moment when you only see the thread title and are about to comment balut, only to find that the op was already about balut XDD

I'm from the Philippines tho and I like balut =))) also vendors screaming BALUUUUUUUT every morning in the streets are just such a part of my childhood

Do century eggs and chicken feet count as weird? I've eaten those a lot and love them but recently I learned a bunch of my friends haven't tried them.. Chicken feet are great tho they're like lollipops but with meat :D

i don't know if this is weird but, i once ate um.. bull pairs. fricking bull pairs. i'm not sure if i can actually say the word here. i didn't know what they were until i asked what they were. i was traumatized, ngl.
