Pokémon Have you ever played a "fan game"?

Have you ever bought/downloaded one of the "fake" Pokemon games people make? There's a few famous ones, like Quarts, Brown, Pink, and that one that let's you join Team Rocket. They can be found online mainly, free to download, but sometimes you might get lucky and find an actual cartridge of one in a flea market or something.

Have you ever played any of them? And if so, which ones? I recently got Pokemon Flora Sky Version at an online auction and I'm excited to play it haha. There's a few games in development right now, like Ethereal Gates and Phoenix Rising that look promising.

I've only played Zeta but I didn't even play that for an hour. So I haven't really played any fan games.

I know maybe a year or two ago I started playing whatever the one is that's based off the anime (literally forget the name). It was fun, but I really dislike playing games on PC's so I gave up after like 2 days.

Yeah I'm not a fan of emulators so unless I actually buy one of those I probably won't be playing. Also I don't have a (mainly) GBA now either so

I think I played a few of the rom hacks when there was a boom about those, but I can't remember any besides Naranja and Quartz. Flora Sky too, maybe? Not sure, but I remember playing a GBA hack that had 4th gen Pokemon when they were still the newest gen.

The only fan game I've played is Pokemon 3D. The battle sequences are nice and it revolves around Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver.

I did. You should try the 100% guaranteed online interaction Pokemon Uranium. They got 151 Pokemon, but its still eligible for competitive battling. And instead of the ordinary Smogon tiers. They have tiers that are like the villager popularity list here. A to E.

They are currently working on the full release, I know i'll get it. If you're waiting on Sun and Moon, Pokemon Uranium will keep you covered for now.
