Have you ever time travelled to unlock shops?

I just reset two nights ago- my plan (like in my last town) is to TT until:
- I have my first nine villagers
- I buy enough axes from Leif to chop down every last tree
- My side character unlocks the QR machine

I check the shops every day, and if there's something I want, I buy it. So I unlock things as I go. I don't do it for the purpose of unlocking things but it makes it easier!

Once all those things are done I set the clock back to the current date, and play the game normally. If there's a day I'm getting super bored with everything to do that day, or I'm working on breeding flowers, I time travel. It's not cheating.

The elitist sounds like a fourteen year old kid- if you honestly think that time traveling IN A GAME is breaking ethical code, you need help aha.

No, nor would I TT for any other reason. It runs the risk of the causing the save file to become corrupt and I really like my current town, so that's not a risk I'm willing to take.
Plus, waiting around for stores to upgrade has really helped me become a much more patient person, so there's that, too.

I've unlocked all the shops minus the Emporium without time travel. I didn't intend to unlock it faster but I decided that it wouldn't hurt to do Gracie's fashion checks while I was TT villagers out in the process.

I don't time travel because it feels like I'm cheating. Even though it isn't cheating. But yeah, never done it. The game would've been boring if I unlocked all the shops at once.

The only shops I need are the Emporium upgrade and the Fortune Teller.

I use a exe software on my SD card to generate as much money and put shops anywhere I want.

No, just kidding. Nah, I don't time travel, I mean it's not that hard to just earn them, right?

I don't think this is true. I'm don't see how it could be a risk to the save file when it's built right into the game.

I TT in general, so I unlocked them quicker than normal anyway.. But I'd say either of the options work, but just do it day-by-day.. You don't want a villager you like to suddenly disappear

Thanks for the advice!

I TT a little hear and there, but not to a huge extent. If say, I'm extremely bored one day, and AC is really slow too, I might TT to do something faster or make the game a little more exciting. Or to unlock a shop. But as for getting villagers out I refrain from it because I ended up losing Erik this way....

I didn't TT for the purpose of opening shops, it just sort of happened as a side effect of what I was TTing for.

Did you TT forward in time and then go back to the current day, or backwards in time then go back to the current day?

In a previous save file, I TT'd a month forward to fix some grass wear and in the process unlocked Super T&T. I didn't lose any villagers, although I was mentally prepared in case it did happen. Actually, I think I wanted someone to move since I'd had the same villagers for so long lol

I might do the same again if I know someone is going to move out in a few days.

What she means is that you time travel two days in the future, such as 1-2-3 . And then you TT back to the present date 3-2-1

yeah. but i hate doing it, makes the game boring. i will swear off doing it in my new town, lol.
