Have you ever felt an overwhelming happiness or sadness while playing a video game. I don't mean one when you beat it but one during and/or through out the game.

This is for an article I'm writing.

PLEASE SAY WHICH ONE/S

Whenever I play Mario 64... I just break down in a smile... Same goes with the horse-back sword fighting in Twilight Princess.

and LET US NOT FORGET Ganondorf's epic showing in Ocarina of Time. When he just comes to life from those ruins, I have a huge grin on my face... The POWER...

So to answer your question, yeah.

:p

As for sadness... There was a part in Twilight Princess... When it's raining, you're the wolf, and everything seems lost... Zelda is practically dying in that tower... Very powerful emotionally...

Yeah, usually when I play a game that takes me back to my childhood... like Duck Hunt. I can't help but smile.

Umm...of course not. If it's an intense game or actiony I probably won't start crying or feeling sad if my partner dies, etc. or I won't feel happy when we find the missing person. I'll feel happy that I completed another part of the game, but nothing personal about the game.

I said intense/actiony up there but I mean any game.

If I recall correctly, my brother gets used to get upset very often while playing games, and does every now and then in the present.

:D
Upset over repititive losing like a super cheap level, etc. I don't get upset over the story.

Yes. Usually not physically, but emotionally, I do.
What games? And why if you could?
Just when you reach a certain point near/on the climax, you just get the feeling that your on a one-man army, or your put in a horrible situation with nothing to help, and as you progress through, you get the feeling of accomplishment.

Example: Fable. You play as the hero, and on the final quest, you fight Jack of Blades. He kills your mother, and even before that he imprisoned you in jail, and ruined the world for his own need for power, and eventually, he ruined your whole life. You then get a sense of revenge. When you find this out before the climax even, you get a feeling to get him back for what hes done throughout the game.

This goes for other games too, I'm just putting this as a example.

When you free Epona in OoT. I love the part when Ingo closes the gate and tries to trap you in there, but Epona practically flies over the wall.

And In Majora's Mask, the intro. Epona is kidnapped (And it's implied that she is killed), the Ocarina of Time is stolen, and Link is transformed into a creepy little plant dude. All by the same Skull Kid you thought you befriended in OoT. That makes me sad.
