Having trouble picking villagers for my island (help me decide)

So I’m having a really hard time picking villagers for my island. So the villagers I definitely am going to keep are:

1.Grizzly
2.Gigi
3.Apple
4.Moe
5.Gala (don’t have her yet but I’m getting her next)

But that is only 5 villagers and I need another 5 more. I have some thoughts of who I could be considering, but I’m indecisive:

-Pancetti (I really like her but if I add her now, I would have 3 snooties and I think that’s too many unless I kick out Naomi which idk yet)
-Broccolo (I like him but idk if I want more than 1 lazy villager in my island so he could replace Moe but idk)
-Stella (I’m really obsessed with normal villagers)
-Jambette (I love her but I have Gigi and they are similar)

All of the villagers I currently have are in my signature. I really need help deciding. There are sooooo many villagers I like; most of which are snooties and normals. Feel free to post your opinions and suggestions for villagers below. I tend to like the less popular, underrated villagers

I recommend you get one of each personality to start with. Then fill in the rest. Here is what I recommend for the next 3.

6. Graham, Kyle, Julian, or Mashal (SMUG)
7. Tybalt, Leonardo, Rowan, Louie, or Rudy (JOCK)
8. Pashmina, Katt, or Fushcia (UCHI)

EDIT:

If you add another Peppy, go for Bianca, Merry, or Rosie
If you add another Cranky: Wolfgang, Chief, Fang, or Lobo
If you add another Normal: Mitzi, Lolly, Fauna, Skye
If you add another Lazy: Punchy, Bob, or Al
If you add another Snooty: Ankha, Whitney, or Vivian

If you're looking to get different DIYs, then it's a good suggestion to start off with different personalities, as they all have different offerings.

But if you're only interesting in getting certain villagers, then I would maybe recommend adding Stella. But as for the others, maybe consider Julia and Sally.

Villagers I'd recommend:

• Shari - This flower-loving monkey is my favorite sisterly villager, but she gets overlooked because of her species.
• Lyman - Who wouldn't love a lime green koala? A jock with the cuteness of a lazy villager.

I think the thing about villagers is you can always get the villagers you’re looking at and if you decide you don’t like them, just move them out! You could also try visiting people that have the villagers you’re considering to see if for some reason that will sway your opinion since you’ll get to see them in-game and see their interiors and what not (assuming they’re not in starter houses)

HA! Just Kidding! I mean get him if you really want. Don't listen to anyone who tells your villager choices are garbage or your just falling the herd. Go with a villager you want to experience. You will know if they work for you soon enough.

Take with a grain of salt any recommendations for villagers and choose your own path. I know most want to have balance (as they call it) of every personality or no duplicate species. Then there are those that don't care. Care, but only for what feels right for you. I mean look at my current group in my signature. I have 3 Cats, 3 Wolves, 2 Goats, a Sheep and a Squirrel. I have multiple personalities (in more ways then one). Yet, this is not permanent. 4 of them will be gone as soon as I get there photos. I got them for that and to see if they would fit. They don't. So time to look for more.

For me I have noticed that even if they have the same personality. They can feel completely different. I have Ankha and Whitney. Both Snooty and Both use the same line at times. Yet both feel so different. I don't even notice any similarities.

You can sort them by Gender, Species and even personalities. So if your looking for a Peppy. You can see of them and decided who to take a chance on. You can also make your own list of favorites. Mine has 63 in it.

Though in the end. If you want me to tell you who to get. Well then I will always recommend my two most favorite villagers. Ankha and Tangy! Both are cute, fun and perfect opposites that work well together.
