Ok, so headcanon number one actually has factual evidence supporting it, if you consider their catchphrases.

Headcanon two: you’re probably wondering how it works, like “a rhinoceros and a duck? How does THAT make sense?” Well it’s based on my own experience, considering how much I love their interactions with each other, and they always make me laugh. In my eyes, Quillson is that funny guy who’s trying to subtly make a move on her and Renee isn’t completely sure how she feels about him.

Honestly, pairing together weird couples when you play Animal Crossing is always fun. It's far more enjoyable than just pairing characters together because they're both pretty, which I've seen a lot of!
