Hey everybody here at The Bell Tree Forums!
My name is John Lucas & I have been an Animal Crossing fan ever since the Gamecube one when Animal Crossing went international.
I'm a Nintendo fan in general & have been ever since 1981 (Donkey Kong arcade made me a fan for life).
When I first got my Gamecube in 2002 with Super Smash Bros. Melee & saw those trophies of "Mr. Resetti" & "Tom Nook" detailed under "Future Release", I said I have to find out what these guys are all about.
I trusted Nintendo as a gamemaker & knew this new idea soon known to me as "Animal Crossing" would be pretty interesting.
Nintendo was trying a lot of new stuff like Pikmin for instance (another series I love) so I was game for whatever Animal Crossing would turn out to be.
A friend of mine got it for me as a Christmas present at the end of that year & the rest is a blur.
I spent pretty much most of that Gamecube generation playing almost nothing but Animal Crossing & Smash Bros. with occasional other games in between.
It's one of my favorite gaming series & I enjoy how the gameplay has evolved over the years.
I also enjoy the subtext & deeper meaning in the game's characters & setting.
Animal Crossing says a lot more than people think it does.
Not to mention the comedy & humor this game always has!
Taking a RPG format, removing the questing & levelling up then inserting a customizable real-time living community that doesn't pressure you as you play.
That's Animal Crossing & I have been addicted ever since I got it on Gamecube 13 years ago.
I play Animal Crossing: New Leaf all the time & am enjoying both Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer & Animal Crossing: amiibo Festival as we speak.
Every now & then I go back & play the older Animal Crossing games as well.
If you're looking for interesting Animal Crossing conversation, I'm your guy.
This community looks pretty cool & I have finally decided to make an account here after lurking for so long.
Hope to talk with you guys soon.
