AC New Horizons player since August.

You're never too old to play. Especially when it's a game that's genuinely relaxing, genuine fun, and one of the villagers gives you a nice birthday party on your birthday morning.

My progress: Five-room house with mucho trimmings, five-star island with seven lilies of the valley so far, seven million bells in the bank. (I've even got an electric guitar in my house that's an exact match for one of the electric guitars I happen to own!) I swear I'm doing better in ACNH than in real life, if you don't count how many times that bloody scorpion has stung me. ;)

It's nice to meet you all.

Welcome! These forums are pretty nice. Actually, there is a Christmas Event starting tonight if you want to check it out. You can find information about it in the Bulletin Board.

welcome to the forums! it’s nice to meet you, i look forward to seeing you around! ♥️

you’re definitely never too old to play! i’ve been an animal crossing fan since i was 5-6 years old, and i imagine i’ll still be playing when i’m in my 60’s lol. life’s too short to not do what makes you happy!

your island sounds awesome! do you have any favourite villagers?

Was ACNH your first AC game? It definitely is a fun and relaxing game! I hope you enjoy it here. 😊

Amen to that!

Yes, I do. I like all our villagers, but I'm especially fond of Bertha, Bones, Curlos, Diana, and Kiki. And it looks like Pekoe will be moving in in a day or so, and having met her at the campsite I liked her immediately.

Yes, it is my first AC game.

I'm only trying to figure ot how to address the flower sprawl without costing the island its five stars---I know what can be done, but it's how to do it judiciously that I have to determine. I had no idea flowers in ACNH could metastasise to the point where the green on the ground might become an endangered species!

Overgrown flowers can definitely be a problem! Some people like to use clear custom design tiles on the ground to keep in flowers, but I tend to let them grow wild and then clear everything at once. 😅

I've paved a path or three so far to begin the containment. There's a new resident moving to my island tomorrow morning. I've already taken care of the spread in advance after the last one moved away. I just have to decide whether to pave another slim path from the house or try some hedges. But it's doable.
