I was supposed to go find my cranky today in the mystery tours. I was looking for either Chief or Fang since I’ve always had only either of them in my previous towns and I’ve grown attached to them. However, after 20 tours, I haven’t found either and my 20th tour islander was Audie! At first I didn’t have plans to get her because I already have Sprinkle as my peppy but she’s soooo gorgeous I couldn’t let her go. I ended up inviting her instead.
Here’s the problem, Whitney is already moving in as my snooty since she bought my plot yesterday. Given I’ll be having two shewolves, I can’t go for either Chief or Fang anymore because I want variety in species. Can any of you suggest a great cranky I could look for? Someone you’ve probably had before that are worth a try. Thanks a lot in advance.
I had Octavian in New Leaf and I loved him. He is the only cranky that I have ever liked. He was so sweet and funny once you got to know him better. Just never get Hopper - he is the worst penguin on the planet.
Mine is Camofrog. I didn't get him on an island or by scanning amiibo, it was random. I had placed the empty lot but forgot to find a villager (there was no one at the campsite) and when I saw it, the lot was sold to Camofrog.
I never had him in my towns, so let's see how it works. If I could have chosen a cranky villager, I would get Monty...
Edit: also, I would probably enjoy having Octavian at my island, because he reminds me of Takosuke from the Parodius series lol
Roscoe is great. He's definitely become one of my favorite villagers after meeting him on a random island tour. I was originally planning to have both Lobo + Chief but have grown too attached to Roscoe to let him go. I also had Bruce and he was great.
Butch is really cute, and Apollo is a great one too especially if you watched the AC movie when you were younger.
My personal favorite cranky is Cyd, but he's not easy to access atm. Otherwise, The Hidden Owl listed a bunch of good ones that I'd also recommend!
Static is also pretty cool and cute if you like the more out-there villager designs.
I do not have any dreamie that is a cranky. So I accepted the first one that was not ugly on a Mystery Island tour. I invited Hopper. And Wow ! I couldn’t be happier. It really clicked with him. He might just be my favorite cranky now.
Vlad, Static, Tom. They're very underrated crankies. At least in my opinion! Dobie's pretty cool too. I have a thing for cranky villsgers so my list goes on lmao
update: I realized now that your dilemma is because you now have two wolves and don't want a third; and Dobie is a wolf. However, Vlad is a bear, Static is a squirrel, and Tom is a cat so if any of those animals suit your liking
How funny. I was going to post a similar thread for my snooty. I love Whitney, but I already have Wolfgang and Audie. I am avoiding more wolves for that reason. Here are some I think are cool.
