Help me find the dimensions to make my transparency work plz

I'm trying to make my signature have a transparent background too, but I think it has to completely fill the signature box? That's how the pfp worked for me. When editing your signature, the site says customs can be 500 pixels by 150, but if it's over 250 it gets removed? It kind of confuses me and I just want my images to have a transparent background lol. Thanks for any help!

It looks transparent now, but it's white. You can tell when you see my posts in the woods.

Upload it to an external image site like imgur, and use the tags.
The forum uploader is crap hence why it keeps losing transparency.
