Buying Help Needed! Got a new 3DS and lost all ACNL save data - started town over!

My 3DS broke last week and I finally got a new one yesterday so I redownloaded ACNL and I did everything I could to preserve my save data but it didn't work so now I had to start my entire town over. I am looking for any help you guys might be able to offer - I don't really have anything that I can offer back right now but I promise that I will repay any help you can give as soon as I'm able.

I'm primarily looking for tools (I'd love golden tools but I know those are expensive), as well as bells so I can get my house finished ASAP and start getting my town back to what it was. Also, any sets you'd be willing to donate or let me catalog would be amazing. I know I'm asking for a lot here but if there's ANY help you can provide at all, I'd be so eternally grateful. What broke on your old 3ds? I mean, you have an SD card inside the old 3ds, you remove it, put it in your computer and transfer all the save files to your computer (drag and drop to the desktop). Then, you put the new SD card into your computer and transfer the files onto it (again, just drag and drop).

If you want to come to my town and buy tools from Nookington's and take fruit, you can, but are you sure you can't get your old save data back?

I've heard about some people losing their old town because of data corruption, so I'm not surprise the effect of the 3ds breaking may have impacted the data as well, especially if its a downloaded copy of ACNL.

But don't worry, I know they'll be many helping hands as the majority if not all of us feels such a strong connection to our towns & villagers (even if it is a game).
