So, I have Happy home designer since it came out, and I heard you can get up to three rooms. However, I've only been able to get two...and they're always the same layouts. The two room ones I just get 4 options which are the 6x6 room with a 4x4 room on the side...I get no option to have a 3story house and have unlocked all the things you buy with playcoins...Its kinda annoying because I can only choose the 1room house or the 2room house which are all the same but the rooms are on different sides.
Is this normal? Or is it something I have to wait to unlock...?

You need to go back to the house on another work day, talk to the villager, and do a complete redesign and it will unlock more options. Each time you go back you can do a bigger house.

No, the villager of the house you want to expand. The full options are never unlocked when you first make a house. If you want to expand houses you need to do them one by one.

And make sure you click the new house not the make-over button, because the make-over just lets you re-decorate the things already there not make it larger. And if you want the top and bottom floor don't pick one of the tiny side rooms because you can only have max 3 rooms.
