This morning I was going around town fossil hunting and a new villager is putting their house over my bushes! Those bushes are a working progress for a fence and it's taken me FOREVER to get them let alone plant them! I didn't save the game so can some PLEASE tell me that there's a way I can fix this?!

I turned it off without saving to see if I could still move the house.
Thanks!

Yeah you cant do anything once u load the game with your mayor. Your option is now to get that villager out. Befriend that villager, besties tend to want to move faster than those that are ignored.

I may be wrong, but if you already signed in as your mayor then there is no moving that house unfortunately. If you are ever expecting a new villager to move in, some people make a whole new character just to see where the house is and if they don't like it, quit without saving, and if they do, save it and then go back and delete the extra character. BUT there's word that this method has been causing a few corruptions of save files, so I never do this.

If you've already played as your mayor then the house placement is already saved. It really does suck when they move somewhere you're trying to save. Has happened to me too.

I don't like that villagers-reset-trick too.
Nintendo should fix that villager problem and devise a feature that allows the player to manually place the houses! Would be great.

Which villager moved in? If you don't really like them, let them move out so you can reclaim your path :3

Its so annoying when this happened, especially if its someone you really like. Only thing you can do is get them to move out i guess. Good luck on getting them to move out. c:

I think the fact that you cannot decide where villager houses will be built is New Leaf's BIGGEST flaw! We finally have the opportunity to shape our town according to our wishes (planting bushes, breeding flowers, lay paths, and so on) but when a new villager moves in they are bound to destroy something in far developed towns :( That makes things frustrating in my opinion because I think you cannot have a perfectly shaped town AND cycle through villagers. You can either way collect all of your dreamies and keep them permanently so you can build around them or you have to live with the destruction every new villager causes :(
My little sister's Lolly for example placed her house right in front of my sister's house, which lowered her excitement a lot :/

it would have been awesome if they allowed us to place the plots whereever we wanted and then we can cycle the villagers through those plots.Even better, if we could somehow choose our villagers... Maybe the next installment will have this.

For those of you who're wondering who's moving in, it's Charise (THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU! it's not one of my dreamies) :') otherwise I'd just reshape my path but pfft I don't like her anyways xD
