I'm making a comp team because the games have gotten boring and I like going around and collecting Pokemon and battling. I used all my favorite pokemon and I made this really stupid comp team (it sorta works bc each one has the good movesets) but it is:

Milotic (Not going to bother with levels since it's set to 50.)
Item: Nothing atm.
Nature: Docile Ability: Marvel Scale
Moveset: Toxic, Dragon Pulse, Ice Beam, Surf

Notes: So most of these are stab moves, but toxic is there just for control, and the others are STAB.

Kingdra
Item: Nothing atm.
Nature: Quiet Ability: Swift Swim
Moveset: Rain Dance, Hydro Pump, Ice Beam, Dragon Pulse

Notes: I was gonna put a scope lens but I haven't gotten to it yet. I put rain dance first for that speed buff, and the rest are for STAB.

Ninetales
Item: Nothing atm.
Nature: Modest Ability: Drought
Moveset: Confuse Ray, Will-O-Wisp, Solar Beam, Flamethrower

Notes: This is one of my favorite pokemon, so there's a reason I put her in. I confuse ray and will-o-wisp for that constant damage, which is extremely annoying, then the drought powers the solar beam to be one turn, and flamethrower is a STAB. Will put a heat rock on so it elongates the drought duration.

Haxorus
Item: Persim Berry
Nature: Rash Ability: Mold Breaker
Moveset: Swords Dance, Brick Break, Outrage, Earthquake

Notes: I put the persim berry because after the outrage STAB the confusion will easily be healed. Swords dance is my set up move to power everything up, brick break for pesky shields, and earthquake is for STAB as well as outrage.

Lucario
Item: Nothing atm.
Nature: Hasty Ability: Steadfast
Moveset: Aura Sphere, Dragon Pulse, Earthquake, Stone Edge

Notes: Thinking about an air balloon for earthquake, haven't gotten it yet. The aura sphere is a key fighting type move, and the others are for control and STAB. I thought these moves were pretty self-explanatory, and lucario will just be for stab and control.

Sylveon
Item: Rocky Helmet
Nature: Timid Ability: Cute Charm
Moveset: Calm Mind, Shadow Ball, Psyshock, Moonblast

Notes: Rocky Helmet because Sylveon defense is trash, and cute charm makes them infatuated, which is extra. Calm Mind to power the moves, the rest of the moves are for control and to counter the poison types. If steel, I'll switch out.

As you can tell, not very balanced. Can anyone recommend a team, or help my team become better? Thanks, I appreciate all comments.

NOTE: I played two games, I got sweeped by an Azumarill in the first (belly drum + play rough = choke me) and another one with an actual comp team, and I won that one because of Kingdra <3

Actually this is a very balanced team, all you really need to change are the moves.
Before I get into that though, I want to point out that STAB stands for "Same Type Attack Bonus", as in damage is increased if the move is the same type as the Pok?mon. Milotic is a pure Water type, so it would only get STAB from Water type moves, it doesn't get any bonus from Dragon Pulse or Ice Beam. Same thing with Kingdra and Ice Beam.
Onto the team making itself, what do you want to use this team for? Singles, doubles, triple, or rotation? I'd personally start with singles as it's the most basic and a team you build for singles can work in the other modes as well. (I have a few really good doubles teams, but some moves I like using in doubles end up being completely useless in singles, but those doubles only moves will perform better in doubles than a team made of singles.) Next is that you need to assign a role to each team member. Looking at what you have, I would give each Pok?mon this role:
Milotic: Defense wall
Kingdra: Special Attacker
Ninetales: Special Attacker
Haxorus: Physical Attacker
Lucario: Mixed Attacker
Sylveon: Special Defense wall
Another good thing is that most of these Pok?mon are REALLY good at their role, so that should make your life easier.
Now I'll try to explain each member in more detail
One of my favorites to use so I should know how to use this one the best.
Milotic is there to be annoyingly bulky. The moveset I run is:
-Recover
-Aqua Ring
-Ice Beam
-Scald
This is for doubles but it could work with singles. I have Aqua Ring and have the item be Leftovers so that Milotic can heal 1/8 of its HP every turn. This is great on its own, but it gets REALLY great when you have a burn OE standard poison (AKA not Toxic). Those 2 statuses take away 1/8 of tour HP every turn, but that's the same amount that you're healing! Why this is great is so that it activates Marvel Scale so you get a 50% boost to Defense. Also since you already have a status, it prevents you from being Toxiced or put to sleep or paralyzed, so you don't have to worry about statuses anymore either!
Recover is there for healing lots of HP
Scald is there to do damage when you aren't setting up/healing. It also has a high chance to burn which lowers the foe's attack, which means you take even LESS damage from physical attacks!
Ice Beam is there in case a Grass or Dragon type gets in your way
You can replace any of those with Toxic though if you want to use it, but I wouldn't recommend Dragon Pulse.
Kingdra is quite frail so if you wanted the rain for Swift Swim, I would reccomend putting that on another Pok?mon like Milotic. Otherwise the moveset is fine.
1 problem with it I have though is that it clashes with other team members. The offensive moves are similar to Milotic's, and it needing rain while Ninetales needs sun is a huge hassle. Weather teams are already somewhat complex, but you should not have 2 different weathers on 1 team. Is there anything else you may want to replace it with?
No real problems here, but Ninetales is also quite frail so it may be KO'd before getting off both Will-O-Wisp and Confuse Ray. I'd say replace Confuse Ray with another offensive move of your choosing. I'd also give it a Life Orb so it can hit harder.
No problems here! :)
Possibly the best mixed attacker in the game. The moveset is fine. Also you should give it a Lucarionite since it's the only Pok?mon on your team that can mega evolve and that's almost always the best option.
Keep Calm Mind, replace one of the other moves with Toxic. Sylveon should be like Milotic, but with Special Attacks instead of physical. You should also change the item, maybe try a Sitrus Berry?
Okay that was a lot.

Yay, thanks for responding. Yeah, I see a lot of problems and I never actually played competitive before so I thought STAB meant hard hitting moves. Thanks for the clarification. I actually am trying for a new team my friend who used to do comp told me to use. The team is:
Gliscor,
Slowbro,
Azumarill,
Scizor,
Garchomp,
Gengar

I don't have a ton of ideas for moves and etc. yet, so I'll be working on that and obtaining the Pokemon tomorrow. But thanks for the ideas for my team, I ran out of heart scales on my oras so I'll switch it to another game pronto. I'll try to fix it tomorrow. :)
