xcf is the gimp filetype... for saving images that you want to work on later.PrinceBoo said:under the Layer menu, under tansparency, click add alpha layer, then when you erase the background, it will have transparancy behind it. .png and .xcf support transparency.

I knew that from somewhere....I cant remember though. I'm a natural with computers, I think.
and thats nice! only you can't really tell what the pic is supposed to be, and the P on the left side should have some blue around it
