And actually I have something I'm wondering about.
How do you actually trade villagers?
I read so many posts about it and I can't seem to figure it out :[

Welcome, Isla! I just joined today also, but I've been playing Animal Crossing: New Leaf for quite some time now. As for trading villagers, I believe that if you visit someone else's town and speak to some of their villagers, you have a higher chance of some of their villagers moving to your town after they move out of your friend's town. At least, that's been my personal experience.

It has been a few weeks, but in my first town I got my now least favorite villager that way.
