Hold up. Is the house in NH SMALLER?

It's really frustrating to those who want the creative freedom to make some grand looking themed rooms. I think they should at least make it an option for those of us who like to do that. It's kind of silly that it isn't an option honestly. But sure let's tack that on to the alleged future updates. I really don't think they'd spend their resources and time fixing this sorta obscure feature. It's very disappointing of a feature for a chunk of players for sure. I will miss my big study and making an attic on my top floor. Now I'm going to stick my bedroom up there because it'll feel like a waste to make one of the biggest rooms in my house just filled with "attic things". Oh well.

The main room is 8x8.
The left, right and back rooms are 6x6.
The upper and basement floors are 6x10.

They aren't that significantly small.

Ahh, to put that In perspective. (Correct me If I got this wrong)

Main room:
NH: 8x8
NL: 8x8

The left, right and back rooms
NH: 6x6
NL: 8×8

Upper and basement floors
NH: 6x10
NL: 8×8

I don't understand this either, and you get no option to choose where the rooms go. I liked in NL how I could choose to only have the back room and the upper floor + basement but Nook just chooses where they go and they're a little smaller.
