Hey guys! I'm about to place my last villager in my town. I'm having trouble deciding where he should go. Here's a picture of my map. I colored some spots I thought about potentially putting him. All the houses are alongside my paths so I'd like for his house to be in one of these spots.

Red: Very undesirable imo, but they like to move here.
Pink: Not a bad spot, leaves room for a project to the right of it. Potential spot for my police station, though.
Yellow: Also not bad, but again a potential for the police station.
Black: Alongside the path that leads to my beach ramp, not bad. They like to try and move here.
Blue: I really want my police station here but it could look good with a house there too.
Purple: Would take away the "strictness" of my house placement lines and add some variety. I kind of like it.

Thoughts, opinions? What do you guys think?

I voted for the blue spot. He'll be between two other villagers, which will look nice. I'd probably put the police station where the pink dot is or to the right of the pond and plaza, so it would be across from the caf?.

I think blue looks the best because it is between two houses. If you really want to put the police station though, then purple would be good if you have nothing else that you want to do with that space. Yellow and pink take up some of that open space so I don't think those are good spots. Red leaves the house all alone in the corner. I don't know if you care about that, but if you don't you could put the house there just because there is nothing better you can do with that area as I see it. Just make sure if you are going to put a bridge there that you do it beforehand. Black is okay, but putting a house right in front of the ramp seems kind of in the way for me.

I voted for the red spot. I think it would look nice isolated from everything in town.
The blue spot is nice too though. :)

I love the purple spot. But then I always seem to like southern placements for my houses. I love how there's the pond right behind it.

Red spot pros: It's out of the way and probably not a spot of the town you'll be wanting to do a lot with.
Red spot cons: They might feel lonely. :(

Pink spot pros: Houses would follow the river - could look quite nice.
Pink spot cons: Not much wrong with it unless four houses in one region is an issue.

Yellow spot pros: Would leave more spacing than the pink spot.
Yellow spot cons: Perhaps a little too direct from the eastern bridge and would be better suited for the police station in my opinion.

Black spot pros: They'd be near the beach. Great.
Black spot cons: Looks like a bit of an inconvenient spot for access to their house and may ruin the cliff scenery.

Blue spot pros: Easy way to fill that empty space but perhaps a Public Works Project could do the same thing or a flower bed or something.
Blue spot cons: Nice and boring with equally good alternatives.

Purple spot pros: Would be experimental and that's always fun.
Purple spot cons: Might stick out like a sore thumb.

I'm voting red due to it being out of the way and I often feel towns are a little crowded and don't need any more crowding and, looking at your town through the Dream Suite, nothing much is happening along there. Everyone should really visit towns in dreams before deciding on this sort of stuff as the map shows so little. :p
Man, your beach is a mess and there's so many buried items dotted about the place, lol. But hey, good storage. :D

Thank you for the in depth feedback, ACP! Much of the stuff you said is what I was thinking, too.

I think the red spot would be nice BUT I was also thinking that with further development of my town I might make that a "secret" area with little projects along the strip. I feel like when the house is there (because I did used to have Antonio there) he was always very secluded and I hardly spoke with him.

If I went with the blue spot I would feel like it's almost TOO boring like you said. I feel like having the police station there would liven it up.

The pink spot isn't bad at all with those four houses along the corner path. Only trouble is I've never had a villager try to plot there so it'd take a lot of time.

And hey, compared to some people's beaches that's nothing, and the spots are from tremendous time traveling to get my unwanted villagers out! Tis the pains of a developing town.

I voted for the red spot. I like placing my house where I can put trees and stuff around it. i like the pink spot, as well. Pink or yellow.

I don't reccommend the red spot because from person experience, when one villager is placed far away from the others, s/he doesn't interact with anyone else as much and you don't see or speak to them unless you go out of your way to do so. It's kind of sad.

I like the purple and blue spots the best. Blue is very uniform and would keep that southern strip clear, but I think the purple could break up the space a little and maybe look very cool.

personally i'd put it to the right of your other villager's house..
because i feel like all the other locations you have marked out see so, random.

I'd suggest putting the villager's house in the pink spot and the police station in the blue spot.
