House/Room Ideas

I think I'm going to just have one house, but who knows? With all the furniture I don't know! I'm going to decorate it all pink and pastel like !! Possibly have a kitchen? I'm unsure! <3

I think we may not have a basement this time around, considering we have the option of moving our house. Would be rather difficult to move a home if it has a basement.

Then again, this is a game where items turn into leaves if you drop them on the ground. I don't think they would care if we had a basement or not and wanted to move the house, honestly.

Huh? Is this for coding purposes or realism? I don't think they would go for realistic Would suck if we didn't have a basement anymore as we've had them for generations

I hope they keep the basement.
A lot of times the basement was my favorite rooms in new leaf. I’d be fine if they removed the attics, but not the basements.

So, after a bit of thought... I'm still going to mildly wing it, but I want rooms to be slightly themed, be it just a furniture set or otherwise something I think of:

- Main room: General living area, I want to do a rustic theme, so lots of wooden furniture.
- Left room: Kitchen area
- Right room: DIY Crafting themed Workshop.
- Back Room: Bedroom if there's no upstairs room. If there is, I'll probably make this my picture/poster room.
- Upstairs: Bedroom, if there is an upstairs.

I like to make my houses look like little inns, I uaully pick a general theme and then I use a completed furniture set in each room to make little seperate rooms.

I really hope they keep the 2nd floor and basement. I can't see why being able to move house locations will affect the extra floors

I've been getting into pink more lately, as it has always been my favorite color since I was a little girl, so my house will be a mixture of pink, maybe pastel things and definitely bright. I always like houses that are bright and not so overly dark, as to me that gets depressing after awhile, unless I'm doing something different like a spooky theme. I know I definitely want the main things every normal home has, such as bedrooms (at least two), a bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room of some sorts with books and lots of plants.

So yeah, mostly pink with some pastel colors and bright, neutral colors.

In all of the previous games, I've been a slave to my HHA score, so I think this time, I'll try to just design something I love versus compromising my ideal design for what gives me the most points. I still love my New Leaf house, but WOW, it was such a struggle to get as many points as possible while still sticking to my super girly/pink theme. Something a little more stress-free this time wouldn't hurt haha.

Some of these are really good ideas. My plans so far are a normal house for my main character, a Marvel House, sports house, music house, space and aviation house, gaming house, shopping centre/restaurants and a summer theme. I'm still thinking of specific rooms but I have a rough idea of what I want

in new leaf i did themed rooms based on furniture sets but i think this time whilst also making that, i want to make a proper bedroom and eastign area, i might even make a whole proper house, and just implement the furniture serieses i like in it
