Houseplants!

hey all!! do you guys have any houseplants?
i have like way too many. probably 17?
i’ll post pictures of my shelf and the ones scattered about my house later when i’m on my pc
but if you have any pics of yours i’d love to see them!!
some of my faves are philodendron and jade plants, they’re both pretty fast growing and easy to keep alive ahah

I LOVE PLANTS!!!

Here is my favorite beauty, an African Violet I propagated from a sucker (it now has tons of blooms opened):

I only got my bamboo plant but we do have a lot of plants in the house that belong to my parents. There's times where my mom has given away her plants to one of her friends or co wokers because there's just too many.

I have a lot of houseplants. Today I discovered one of them was a likely breeding ground for a ton of small, skinny flies. I think 70 as a conservative estimate have been killed so far. I don't understand and I don't appreciate them visiting me in the wee hours of the evening as I'm falling asleep!!

I have way too many. Just propagated a Swiss Cheese Monstera and it’s my actual baby right now lol. I’ve been loving my string of dolphins too!

i love love my houseplants. i have a ton of pothos, a huge monstera, a couple pretty alocasia, and more. my three crowning jewels (aka i spent a lot of money on these ;;; ) are my monstera albo, thai constellation, and my philodendron white knight!

i have 15 of my own in my dorm normally. But since we've had to move back home due to the pandemic, I've been taking care of my friends' (who had to take a plane home) plants. so i got like 26 plants vibing in my house now lol

Oh gosh, I love plants a bit too much! I (used to, before corona made me abandon them to wilt ) had a calathea orbifolia, a calathea ornata, a massive monstera, a lil philodendron cordatum, and baby string of turtles and variegated string of hearts. I had to leave my apartment in a hurry and, since my roomies are all students, there's no one to water them, so they'll be dead when I come back. On the bright side, I'm friends with this dude who runs an amazing plant shop, so I'm looking forward to picking up some new ones!!

I have two thriving Jade plants, one is the mother of the mini, and it's HUGE.
Also have a Pothos of some kind, it's getting pretty long, but I haven't nailed down how much water it likes; leaves keep dying off.
And a little cactus with a red top. Not sure of the species. Picked it up at Home Depot.

I currently own 34 plants.
I got my first plant (nearly) 3 years ago after I had to give away my dog (I had a couple of plants in my room before then but my Mom took care of those so I don't consider them my own). I guess plants sort of became my "dog/pet substitute".
My Mom and Grandma also love plants and flowers so our house and garden are full of them.

so happy to hear about your plants!! i’ve heard too many stories of people’s plants at work or a dorm and the pandemic making them unable to care for them :(

here’s some of my plant pals!!! i have a table of “quarantined” plants that i brought home recently, just as a precaution because i would be screwed if some disease/pest spread amongst them :u

i adore plants/flowers and would love to have a bunch of them, but i have three cats that try to eat random debris constantly, so i'm too worried about having any around. plus i don't get a ton of natural light where i live and i'd hate for my plants to die :c

I travel way too much to have plants (or pets) that I personally own, but when I stay with family, I certainly enjoy the fruits (heh) of my mother's love for nature.

Virtually, though...I have more pink lillies than I know what to do with!
