how come we lose bells when we edit our threads

i was going through my old threads and fixing some of them bc they were really cringy and then i saw that i went down like 10 bells so idk what's up w that

When you edit your posts the amount of bells earned is recalculated.

Longer post = more bells
Less Post = Less Bells

Because ideally, the staff doesn't want users to obtain Bells at all but we'd just complain so they thought of this illusive scam.
