Hi everyone! I have a few questions that I would like to ask, so any answers would be much appreciated! :) By the way, all of these questions go out to people who either have perfect towns or are working on a perfect town.
1. When you first started your town, what were the very first steps you took to make it perfect? Did you chop down all of the trees and start over, or did you just continue from the trees your town had?
2. Is there a theme to your town? If so, what is it?
3. How did you figure out your fruit orchards? Did you include every single fruit (island and regular) in your town, and how did you organize the fruit trees?
4. Do you have tree stumps in your town? Why or why not, and where did you place them?
5. Do you just have hybrids in your town, or do you also include normal flowers? Why or why not?
Thanks for the answers! This idea seems really fun, and I hope it'll help me out in the future. :)

I'll answer ^_^
1. I'd say the very first step was collecting more flowers, for both breeding purposes, and also I guess for the town rating as well. This became a lot easier once the island was unlocked. I never had the perfect town requirements in mind when I planted trees, I just wanted a layout of trees that I liked. The tree requirements don't seem to be very picky, anyway; I saw one guide list that it can be anywhere between 110 and 200. What took the longest for me was getting enough PWPs. Contrary to what I'd heard many people say, you don't need a certain number of PWPs, you need to accumulate a certain number of "abundant living" points via PWPs. And it took me a while to get PWPs I actually wanted to build...

2. My town has the fairytale PWPs, town hall, and train station. I'm going for an elegant aesthetic, with one side of town being themed to be vibrant and sunny, looking best in the daytime and at sunset, and the other side of town being themed to look best at nighttime, with lots of whites and cool colors. In my head I like to think of one side as the city of the sun, and the other side as the city of the moon, but I don't have all the materials to fully execute this theme yet (hybrids, furniture, dream neighbors, need to make more paths, etc.).

3. I don't have every single fruit in my town, and I have mostly perfect apple trees. I like to color-coordinate fruits depending on the area, so I have some peach trees by the pink Re-Tail building, and other fruits to match various gardens in town. I plant trees either in an orderly fashion (rows/symmetry) or in a less orderly fashion (non-symmetrical, more random) depending on the nature of the area.

4. I have a few stumps in town, and I try to put them in somewhat scenic spots where I think it would be nice to have a little place to sit. But I wouldn't put one in front of the fairytale town hall or something like that -- rather, more woodsy/natural areas.

5. I include both hybrids and normal flowers. Otherwise I couldn't have the full spectrum of color, it'd just be stuff like pink, blue, purple, orange, and black. :/

1) brainstorm how you want your paths and bridges

2) achieve all dreamies and reset until they are in perfect locations

3) cutting and aligning trees to paths

4) gather a bunch of flowers and put then everywhrreee

5) place pwps where they look best. Rearrange flowers

Im just about done with step 2, getting my dreamies in rows

1. When you first started your town, what were the very first steps you took to make it perfect? Did you chop down all of the trees and start over, or did you just continue from the trees your town had?
As soon as I got my hands on an axe is did chop down all my trees. I also picked up all my flowers and bunched them together and placed them by villager homes.
2. Is there a theme to your town? If so, what is it?
I was going for a fairy tale town, but I eventually destroyed 90% of my old Public works projects for new ones. I now have a park area and camping area.
3. How did you figure out your fruit orchards? Did you include every single fruit (island and regular) in your town, and how did you organize the fruit trees?
At first I did use every fruit including the island, and did two rows of about five trees in empty areas like near the rivers. I made paths with my trees like from bridges that would lead you straight down to the beach. Eventually I did chop down all my trees and replaced them with perfect apples, and near my park area it has a tree of the original fruits (pear, oranges, peaches, pears, normal apples)
4. Do you have tree stumps in your town? Why or why not, and where did you place them?
I only have one tree stump in my town, it looked really nice next to my fire pit in my camping area.
5. Do you just have hybrids in your town, or do you also include normal flowers? Why or why not?
I mainly have hybrids, a few normal flowers to breed certain hybrids. I used to sell hybrids and received orders for them so I ended up with plenty of them. I like the color of hybrids or the appearance of them more than the normal ones.

I did half and half. I placed my paths and any trees that were in my way, i'd chop down, i probably ended up chopping them down and then replacing them as soon as i got rid of them!

2. Is there a theme to your town? If so, what is it?
No. I just do what i look or what i think will look nice.

3. How did you figure out your fruit orchards? Did you include every single fruit (island and regular) in your town, and how did you organize the fruit trees?
I have every town fruit, but i don't have all the island fruits. I had an area where i'd just grow fruit at the start. Now i just have rows of trees with different fruit, not really and orchard.

4. Do you have tree stumps in your town? Why or why not, and where did you place them?
I have 3 or 4? Not really bothered about them tbf.

5. Do you just have hybrids in your town, or do you also include normal flowers? Why or why not?
I have both normal and hybrids. I have space in my town where i grow hybrids, but as of yet i don't have many. I'll decorate my town with more hybrids when i get more!

Thanks for the answers! This idea seems really fun, and I hope it'll help me out in the future. :)

1. Started out a bit scatterbrained, since it is my first AC game. In the beginning my main goal was making money and paying off the house and doing basic stuff to get an outline of my future town. I used flowers to mark certain path areas, placed a few pwp`s to get an general idea for that specific area, etc.
2. I like to think I made a somewhat forest type, modern town. I`m now blending in a bit of orange for my Dutch theme and I`m starting to make my town less liniair, but thats gonig slow, since I need certain pwp`s I haven`t yet opened.
3. Just started with what I had, oranges as my native fruit. When I got others from the island and as gifts, I made liniair lines outlining my temporary path. I still need certain fruit types and I already know where I will put them. Since I have a forest town, I go nuts with the trees.
4. I`m going to make a small playpark area, using a few pwp`s, I am going to use stumps as a form of benches. In the future there will probably be more stumps, but for now I have like 6.
5. I started out with all regular flowers, I started late with making hybrids. Slowly I want to just replace the regular flowers with better looking hybrids. I like flowers to outline paths and around my favorite villagers houses. I have all pink roses around the house of Chrissy for example.

1. When you first started your town, what were the very first steps you took to make it perfect? Did you chop down all of the trees and start over, or did you just continue from the trees your town had?
I continued with the trees I had, and chopped them down as I lay down my paths. But before you begin your paths, make sure you have all of your dreamies, and that will make everything easier.
2. Is there a theme to your town? If so, what is it?
I sort of have a theme. It is the Parisian countryside. I found these nice patterns online that I really like. c:
3. How did you figure out your fruit orchards? Did you include every single fruit (island and regular) in your town, and how did you organize the fruit trees?
I don't have orchards...I use fruit trees to line my paths. As I progress, I think I'll have a small orchard. I have all of the fruit trees. c:
4. Do you have tree stumps in your town? Why or why not, and where did you place them?
I only have 3, and they surround my camp fire.
5. Do you just have hybrids in your town, or do you also include normal flowers? Why or why not?
I have hybrids and normal flowers, but soon I want to have all hybrids. I feel like the hybrids colors are prettier than the normal flower colors. :3

I started to place paths, but today I'm going to edit my paths since I had a lot of villagers leave in the past few days.

Then, I surround the path with tulips. I'm thinking about adding roses to it as well. I just place them according to breed.

I don't use bushes but I'll probably start using them soon.

1. When you first started your town, what were the very first steps you took to make it perfect? Did you chop down all of the trees and start over, or did you just continue from the trees your town had? I just chopped them when i thought that was necessary. i took months for me to get a perfect fruit so i just went putting trees with non-native fruits that i've got from friends and island
2. Is there a theme to your town? If so, what is it? i don't really have a theme, i just like to place colorful paths and flowers next to projects and houses
3. How did you figure out your fruit orchards? Did you include every single fruit (island and regular) in your town, and how did you organize the fruit trees? in the first time i just put fruits from the island and non-native randomly, when i got my perfect fruit i made all the left side of my city of perfect peaches
4. Do you have tree stumps in your town? Why or why not, and where did you place them? I've made 5, in a circle for november's event to got the mushroom furnite with a silver axe.
5. Do you just have hybrids in your town, or do you also include normal flowers? Why or why not? i organize hybrids of the same color in a space and random flowers next to each other. i also have 2 camps of flowers forming a rainbow

1. I waited for most of my dreamies to come in [One left!!]. Once I got a golden axe, I cut down most of the trees and planted bushes and trees in certain places, then began to surround the houses in flowers that matched the exterior.
2. Zen :3
3. I'm putting my fruit in certain places, island fruit near the ocean, and non-island fruit towards the cliff.
4. Yeah. I love seeing the villagers sit on them.
5. Yes. I have both. Some exteriors don't match a hybrid color.

1. I gradually organized flowers around PWP's, placed paths around the villagers' houses, and I ended up cutting down so many trees. I had so many haphazardly planted around my town. I was a stump maker for a while, haha.

2. Is there a theme to your town? If so, what is it?
It's kind of a theme of fairy-tale, not really. I have it bright, neat, and organized, and that's it.

3. How did you figure out your fruit orchards? Did you include every single fruit (island and regular) in your town, and how did you organize the fruit trees?
I think I have every fruit. I have different fruits in different sections of the town.

4. Do you have tree stumps in your town? Why or why not, and where did you place them?
I have one Triforce stump and one butterfly stump. They ended up being a pattern in a convenient place and that's about it.

5. Do you just have hybrids in your town, or do you also include normal flowers? Why or why not?
I have hybrids and normal flowers. I like them both.

1. I thought about my overall town design and took into consideration the areas in my town which are villager areas and grass/tree areas. When I decided on that I chopped down certain trees for villager housing and that was my first step
2. At first no, I've never had a theme to my town. But after seeing others I decided on a flower town, because my town is covered in flowers and you can't run four steps without trampling a flower.
3. My trees are natural, I plant them in random spots. I have every fruit except for apple because I hate apples
4. No, they look ugly and I would rather have weeds.
5. Both! You can't make hybrids without those regular flowers too, I have lots of both and tell people I don't think normal flowers are anything to laugh at. Would we have hybrids without them?

I began with marking out where I was putting my paths with the default patterns so I could replace them then i gathered all of my flowers and grouped them in to colour and type order :) then played the waiting game

I began by looking at the layout of the entire town when I first moved in. I didn't know how to put paths down at the time so I was in a bit of a slump as to what to do. I began working towards the perfect town rating right away and slowly paying off my house mortgage's, getting to know my neighbors and starting on the PWP's. Finally I discovered how to put the paths in thanks to a friend, so I finally began putting my perfect town together, laying out the path and adding and lining them with tons of wildflowers and fruit tree's and thanks to a nice donation from another friend, TONS of perfect pear tree's(There's at least 50 perfect pear tree's currently in my town). Today my perfect rating stands 3 months now, and I constantly get new idea's for layouts and such to improve it more.

1. When you first started your town, what were the very first steps you took to make it perfect? Did you chop down all of the trees and start over, or did you just continue from the trees your town had?
My town is no where near perfect. I'm trying to add orchards so I don't have random trees everywhere like I did before. When I first got my game I planted way too many cherry trees in the worst places. Now I have people to sell them too so I like having all of them but its for all the trees to have a place.
2. Is there a theme to your town? If so, what is it?
I have no theme for my town. I put whatever I like in a place that's open.
3. How did you figure out your fruit orchards? Did you include every single fruit (island and regular) in your town, and how did you organize the fruit trees?
I started out by putting my town into sections. I got axes and started cutting down trees in groups then I planted 8-11 of the fruit I wanted in that spot. I have a few island fruits just to have it but I don't really do anything with them.
4. Do you have tree stumps in your town? Why or why not, and where did you place them?
I do have stumps in my town. If I cut down a tree and it has a stump design then I leave it there. I like getting mushrooms that I can sell.
5. Do you just have hybrids in your town, or do you also include normal flowers? Why or why not?
I have very few hybrids in my town. I have an area in my town where there is just a ton of roses so I can get some hybrids. I'm getting a lot on this site so it makes it a bit easier than waiting.

My town needs a lot of work.

1. I haven't worked on making a Perfect Town yet, only because it was so time consuming and awful in previous games that I just can't bring myself to do it this time. However, I started off with laying down paths and connecting all the major landmarks in town. That gave me a better idea of the space I had. I also had general ideas as to where some PWP projects would go (campsite in the North by the waterfall, in the middle of an evergreen forest) but others I just kind of tried out. If it didn't work, I tore it down. Your town is extremely flexible so don't be afraid to make mistakes.

2. Maybe swag woodsy. Otherwise known as no set theme just whatever I think looks good.

3. I had an apple orchard in my CF town and LOVED it so I'm replanting one in the northern acres. I don't like having all the fruits in my town for some reason so I kind of pick and choose. Peach trees are every where.

4. Not yet, I don't have the axe in my new town. But in my old town I had stumps in random places. Just wherever I felt they looked good.

5. I have little gardens and I switch them out each season. So I focus on orange, red, yellow, black in the fall and i'll switch them for white and maybe some blue for winter. Keeps things seasonal. I try to keep on top of the other flowers and pull them up but it's a losing battle some days. I actually change up my gardens a LOT. When I'm sick of a particular garden or the way a path is lined I dig it up and start growing something new.

I haven't been online for a week and I have dozens of replies - thank you for them! They are so very fun to read, especially since I don't really have anything to do right now.^^
Any more responses would be more than welcome! :)
