I?ve seen a lot of people talking about how excited they are about the new animal crossing and they?re expectations too, and I?m really excited too! Honestly the direct kind of surprised me in a way when they showed Tom nook. I thought they were going to mess with us again and announce a happy home designer 2 or something. Did anyone else think that for a second or am I the only one?
please tell me I?m not alone in this XD

my reactions:
isabelle appears in town hall and talks about being mayor: "NO!!! NO WAY! SURELY NOT!"
isabelle gets letter from pete: "this better not be smash for god sake"
when its announced its smash: "Wow nintendo seriously that troll hit me hard"
when nook came up: "oh so nooks in smash as well?
when I see the switch: "surely not..."
when its announced ac for switch in 2019: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qgET1Zhpb8

I was excited when Isabelle showed up, until it was just a smash announcement. When Tom Nook came up, I was half expecting him in Smash too! Safe to say I was very surprised and excited when it turned out to be AC Switch! :p

Stressed. I was watching the livestream on my PS3 and it froze just after Pete came in to give Isabelle her letter.

I had to wait a few minutes to watch the end of the Direct. Then I was ecstatic of course. ;)

I remember seeing Isabelle in the Town Hall and being like, "Wait a minute is this the new Animal Crossing?!" and I'm sure there were probably similar reactions and then when I found out that she was going to be in Smash, I was disappointed that it wasn't the Animal Crossing being confirmed but at the same time I was super happy and also surprised (yet also thinking: "Finally! It's about time!") when I saw her being in Smash and then I saw Tom Nook and was wondering if he was going to be the Echo Fighter or something like Happy Home Designer 2 and whatnot but then I read the dialogue and started to hope because that's when I knew that Animal Crossing would be coming soon and I was just so happy when it was finally confirmed with that title card but definitely excited and happy at the reveal but also was slightly confused at first. xD

I've never experienced so many emotions in such a short amount of time what a tease

I didn?t watch the direct because I knew it was going to be another disappointment. So after the direct I didn?t go on here to disappoint myself again. So I went on Club Tortimer to see if there are any sad souls. But one girl mentioned of Animal Crossing coming to the Switch. I didn?t believe her and was kidding to hide her sadness. I went on Club Tortimer again and again to see if anyone else was hyped about the ac switch. Couldn?t find any and gave up. Turns out that girl was right and I went and saw the direct without any disappointment.

I'm glad because now people will stop asking (and making summoning circles) when it'll be annonced, as for what it will look like, I'm very cautious for the time being ...that is all...

It was a wild rollercoaster ride of emotions. First at seeing Isabelle and a sense of cautious joy, then raging HARD that it was just a Smash reveal and finally, I actually cried a little bit when they showed the final reveal.

Nintendo trolled us so hard with that Direct, man.

BUT the evidence was there that Animal Crossing was more than likely going to be announced. There were several game trailers for world/city building sims and the like. They kept teasing our gaming palates with multiple appetizers before bringing out the main course.

Well done, Nintendo. Very well done.

I don't watch Nintendo Directs live most of the time because I get tired of watching advertising for games I have no interest in. I found out about AC Switch through a gaming site headline. I was pretty excited, but not as excited as the fandom seems to be. I was expecting us to get a new AC game in 2019 or 2020.

I went through a rollercoaster of emotions with the way they revealed it but overall I was super excited in the end.

When I first saw Isabelle I started screaming "NO WAY" cause at that moment I thought it was AC switch. But then I saw it was for Smash and got slightly disappointed cause it wasn't what I was thinking ;o;

Then the reveal came and I sobbed for like 10min over it. LMAO

I don't care that we didn't get to see a trailer. Just seeing that it's expected to come 2019 is all I need to be extremely hyped.

still don't know how to feel. kinda disappointed ninto would play with our hearts like that. that was not necessary and i don't see why they couldn't have made that title card announcement during e3.. but oh well. i'll reserve excitement till we know like anything about it and actually see it.

first i was excited then really let down and shouted at nintendo XD then i was pretty cautious then really excited xD

I watched the direct on YouTube a few hours late, mostly skipping through things as there was a lot I wasn't interested in. When they got to Isabelle being revealed for Smash, I stopped watching because I thought it was the last announcement (plus I had glanced through the first few comments on YT, and they made no mention of AC being announced). I saw that AC was announced for Switch later, on Instagram. So yeah, the whole experience was way more underwhelming than I expected the eventual AC reveal would be for me.

I don't think there is any way to describe it other than a rollercoaster of emotions. If you were present in the TBT Discord, I am sorry for my spamming in excitement.

I had to keep calm myself, since I was about to scream out of happiness while it was almost 1AM
where I live and I didn't wanted to wake up my neighbors. I was already super excited when they
announced Luigi's Mansion 3 at the beginning as well as that Isabelle is in Smash, and of course I
freaked out when they then announced a new AC game for 2019. At first I didn't wanted to stay
awake, as the Direct came out at midnight where I live, but I couldn't sleep and so I watched it
live. And I can say, it was of course worth it.
