How do I see if someone's replied to my thread?

Yes, but usually the thread title on the index pages will turn bold if there's a new post, and if you're in the thread itself, there will be a "view unread posts" button in the bar under the title

You could try subscribing it and checking the Subscription panel really often.

I don't think that they ruled that out yet, but I have seen that on other forums too, I would like to see that too.
