How do the randomly learned diy recipes work?

I've been egg hunting all day (I wanna complete every holiday set) and along the way my character has been learning random diy recipes for these cute egg outfits.

The thing is I can't tell if it's random or under certain conditions seeing as I made some recipes and can't remember how many eggs I've found in total. Is it random? Is it when you find a certain number?

Seems like it. I just don't know the amounts lol

If you get 20 something of the same egg you get that eggs clothing set and after you learn all of the sets you learn the party ones. Thats all of the ones you can randomly learn though.

From what I understand, all DIY recipes except for the outfits are random. When I shoot down balloons or pick up messages in a bottle I will occasionally find recipes I already have. When you have around 20 of a specific egg type, your character will get the idea to make an outfit. After you collect every egg outfit type you can make the party dress and hat. There are 2 recipes that can only ve given to you by villagers.
